Mark 15 - YLT (Punjabi)

1 And immediately, in the morning, the chief priests having made a consultation, with the elders, and scribes, and the whole sanhedrim, having bound Jesus, did lead away, and delivered `him' to Pilate;ਗਵਰਨਰ ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਦੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਲ ਸਵਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਤੜਕੇ, ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ, ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਆਗੂ, ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਸਭਾ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਣਾਈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਗਏ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

2 and Pilate questioned him, `Art thou the king of the Jews?' and he answering said to him, `Thou dost say `it'.'ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੈ?” ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਉਹ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ।

3 And the chief priests were accusing him of many things, `but he answered nothing.'ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਬੂਤ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਗਵਾਹ ਲਿਆਏ।

4 And Pilate again questioned him, saying, `Thou dost not answer anything! lo, how many things they do testify against thee!'ਤਾਂ ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਜਵਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ?”

5 and Jesus did no more answer anything, so that Pilate wondered.ਪਰ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕੋਈ ਜਵਾਬ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਕੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਸੀ।

6 And at every feast he was releasing to them one prisoner, whomsoever they were asking;ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਡਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਮਰਥ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਪਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਤੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਕੈਦੀ, ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਲੋਕ ਅਰਜ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।

7 and there was `one' named Barabbas, bound with those making insurrection with him, who had in the insurrection committed murder.ਉਸ ਵਕਤ, ਬਰੱਬਾਸ ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਕੈਦੀ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਦਰੋਹੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦ੍ਰੋਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਕਤਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ।

8 And the multitude having cried out, began to ask for themselves as he was always doing to them,ਲੋਕ ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਕ ਕੈਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਏ।

9 and Pilate answered them, saying, `Will ye `that' I shall release to you the king of the Jews?'ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਵਾਂ?”

10 for he knew that because of envy the chief priests had delivered him up;ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਈਰਖਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਹੱਥੀ ਫ਼ੜਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ।

11 and the chief priests did move the multitude, that he might rather release Barabbas to them.ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਬਰੱਬਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜੋਰ ਪਾਉਣ।

12 And Pilate answering, again said to them, `What, then, will ye `that' I shall do to him whom ye call king of the Jews?'ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਇਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ, ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਕਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਕਰਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ?”

13 and they again cried out, `Crucify him.'ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਰੌਲਾ ਪਾਇਆ, “ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਦਿਓ।”

14 And Pilate said to them, `Why -- what evil did he?' and they cried out the more vehemently, `Crucify him;'ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਕਿਉਂ? ਇਸਨੇ ਕੀ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ?” ਪਰ ਲੋਕ ਹੋਰ ਜ਼ੋਰ-ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੀ ਚੀਕਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਦੇਵੋ।”

15 and Pilate, wishing to content the multitude, released to them Barabbas, and delivered up Jesus -- having scourged `him' -- that he might be crucified.ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਰੱਬਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋੜੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

16 And the soldiers led him away into the hall, which is Praetorium, and call together the whole band,ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਥ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ।

17 and clothe him with purple, and having plaited a crown of thorns, they put `it' on him,ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਾਮੁਨੀ ਰੰਗ ਦਾ ਕੱਪੜਾ ਯਿਸੂ ਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ, ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੰਡਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁੰਦਕੇ ਕੰਡਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਤਾਜ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ।

18 and began to salute him, `Hail, King of the Jews.'ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਮ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ, ਨਮਸੱਕਾਰ!”

19 And they were smiting him on the head with a reed, and were spitting on him, and having bent the knee, were bowing to him,ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵਾਰ-ਵਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਸੋਟੀਆਂ ਮਾਰੀਆਂ। ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਥੁੱਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਰ-ਬਾਰ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਸਿਰ ਨਿਵਾਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਖੌਲ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ।

20 and when they `had' mocked him, they took the purple from off him, and clothed him in his own garments, and they led him forth, that they may crucify him.ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਖੌਲ ਕਰ ਹਟੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਜਾਮਨੀ ਕੱਪੜਾ ਉਤਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪੁਆ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਮਹਿਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ।

21 And they impress a certain one passing by -- Simon, a Cyrenian, coming from the field, the father of Alexander and Rufus -- that he may bear his cross,ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਕੁਰੇਨੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਸੀ ਸਿਕੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਰੁਫ਼ੂਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ। ਉਹ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਸਲੀਬ ਚੁੱਕੇ।

22 and they bring him to the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, `Place of a skull;'ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਲਗਥਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਦੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤੇ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਗਲਗਥਾ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ “ਖੋਪਰੀ ਦਾ ਥਾਂ”

23 and they were giving him to drink wine mingled with myrrh, and he did not receive.ਉੱਥੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਅ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੰਧਰਸ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਣ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੀਤੀ।

24 And having crucified him, they were dividing his garments, casting a lot upon them, what each may take;ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਤੇ ਕਿੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਠੋਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡ ਲਏ। ਇਹ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਣੇ ਪਾਕੇ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡੇ ਕਿ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਲਵੇਗਾ।

25 and it was the third hour, and they crucified him;ਸਵੇਰ ਦੇ ਨੌ ਵਜੇ ਸਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ।

26 and the inscription of his accusation was written above -- `The King of the Jews.'ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, “ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ।”

27 And with him they crucify two robbers, one on the right hand, and one on his left,ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੋ ਹੋਰ ਚੋਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਲੀਬ ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ। ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ।

28 and the Writing was fulfilled that is saying, `And with lawless ones he was numbered.'

29 And those passing by were speaking evil of him, shaking their heads, and saying, `Ah, the thrower down of the sanctuary, and in three days the builder!ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਉਡਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਹਿਲਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਬੱਲ, ਤੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

30 save thyself, and come down from the cross!'ਤਾਂ ਹੁਣ ਸਲੀਬ ਤੋਂ ਥੱਲੇ ਉਤਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ?”

31 And in like manner also the chief priests, mocking with one another, with the scribes, said, `Others he saved; himself he is not able to save.ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਵੀ ਉਸੇ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਉਡਾਇਆ। ਉਹ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਉਸਨੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ, ਪਰ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਾ ਸੱਕਿਆ।

32 The Christ! the king of Israel -- let him come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe;' and those crucified with him were reproaching him.ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਸੱਚੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਮਸੀਹ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਹੁਣੇ ਉਹ ਸਲੀਬੋਂ ਉਤਰ ਆਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਵੇ, ਤਦ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਪਰਤੀਤ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।” ਜਿਹੜੇ ਚੋਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਸਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਉਡਾਇਆ।

33 And the sixth hour having come, darkness came over the whole land till the ninth hour,ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਮਰਨਾ ਦੁਪਿਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ, ਹਨੇਰੇ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕ ਲਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਦੁਪਿਹਰ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਰਿਹਾ।

34 and at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a great voice, saying, `Eloi, Eloi, lamma sabachthani?' which is, being interpreted, `My God, my God, why didst Thou forsake me?'ਤਿੰਨ ਕੁ ਵਜੇ, ਯਿਸੂ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੀਕਿਆ, “ਏਲੋਈ ਏਲੋਈ ਲਮਾ ਸਬਕਤਾਨੀ।” ਜਿਸਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਕਲਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ?”

35 And certain of those standing by, having heard, said, `Lo, Elijah he doth call;'ਉੱਥੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਚੀਕ ਸੁਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸੁਣੋ! ਉਹ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।”

36 and one having run, and having filled a spunge with vinegar, having put `it' also on a reed, was giving him to drink, saying, `Let alone, let us see if Elijah doth come to take him down.'ਉੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ, ਭੱਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਪੰਜ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਿਉਂਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਪੰਜ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੋਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪੀਣ ਲਈ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਲਾ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਾਰਨ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਨਹੀਂ।”

37 And Jesus having uttered a loud cry, yielded the spirit,ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ-ਹੀਣ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

38 and the veil of the sanctuary was rent in two, from top to bottom,ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਛੱਡੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾ ਉੱਪਰ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਥੱਲੇ ਤੱਕ ਦੋਫ਼ਾੜ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

39 and the centurion who was standing over-against him, having seen that, having so cried out, he yielded the spirit, said, `Truly this man was Son of God.'ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਸੂਬੇਦਾਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਸਭ ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਜਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ, “ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਚਮੁੱਚ ਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।”

40 And there were also women afar off beholding, among whom was also Mary the Magdalene, and Mary of James the less, and of Joses, and Salome,ਕੁਝ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਥੋੜੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਇਹ ਵੇਖ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਮਗਦਲੀਨੀ, ਸਲੋਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਸੇਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਸਨ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਛੋਟਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।

41 (who also, when he was in Galilee, were following him, and were ministering to him,) and many other women who came up with him to Jerusalem.ਜਿਸ ਵਕਤ ਯਿਸੂ ਗਲੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਇਹ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਭਾਲ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਆਈਆਂ ਸਨ।

42 And now evening having come, seeing it was the preparation, that is, the fore-sabbath,ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ (ਜਿਸਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਸਬਤ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ) ਅਤੇ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

43 Joseph of Arimathea, an honourable counsellor, who also himself was waiting for the reign of God, came, boldly entered in unto Pilate, and asked the body of Jesus.ਅਰਿਮਥੈਆ ਦਾ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਸਭਾ ਦਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਿਧ ਸਦੱਸ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਬੜੀ ਬਹਾਦੁਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ।

44 And Pilate wondered if he were already dead, and having called near the centurion, did question him if he were long dead,ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਕੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਮਰ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੂਬੇਦਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਵਾਕਈ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਸੀ।

45 and having known `it' from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.ਸੂਬੇਦਾਰ ਨੇ ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਨੇ ਲੋਥ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

46 And he, having brought fine linen, and having taken him down, wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre that had been hewn out of a rock, and he rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre,ਤਾਂ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੀਨ ਕੱਪੜਾ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਥ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਾਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਪੇਟਿਆ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਲੋਥ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੋਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਬਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਪੱਥਰ ਰੇੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

47 and Mary the Magdalene, and Mary of Joses, were beholding where he is laid.ਮਰਿਯਮ ਮਗਦਲੀਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਸੇਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਉਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
