ਮਹਾਨ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੋਟੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਬਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਖੂਹ ਪੁੱਟਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਗਾਤ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਖੂਹ ਨੂੰ ‘ਮੱਤਾਨਾਹ’ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ।”

of the people הָעָ֔ם ʿam am
it, by the lawgiver, בִּמְחֹקֵ֖ק ḥāqaq ha-KAHK
with their staves. בְּמִשְׁעֲנֹתָ֑ם mišʿēnâ meesh-ay-NA
And from the wilderness וּמִמִּדְבָּ֖ר midbār meed-BAHR
to Mattanah: מַתָּנָֽה׃ mattānâ ma-ta-NA
