Numbers 5 - DBY (Punjabi)

1 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਬਾਰੇ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ,

2 Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by a dead person:“ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਡੇਰਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਰੱਖਣ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਡੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਭੇਜ ਦੇਣ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਮੜੀ ਦਾ ਰੋਗ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਜਿਸਮ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਸਾਧਾਰਣ ਦ੍ਰਵ ਰਿਸਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦੂਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਆਖ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਲਾਸ਼ ਕਾਰਣ ਨਾਪਾਕ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।

3 both male and female shall ye put out; outside the camp shall ye put them, that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਔਰਤ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿਉ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿਉ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਰੋਗੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਨਾ ਫ਼ੈਲਾ ਸੱਕਣ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਹਾਂ।”

4 And the children of Israel did so, and put them outside the camp: as Jehovah had said to Moses, so did the children of Israel.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਨਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।

5 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,ਗਲਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਇਗੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ,

6 Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any of all the sins of man to work unfaithfulness against Jehovah, and that soul is guilty,“ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਦਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਕਰੇ (ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰਨਾ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਪਾਪ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।) ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ।

7 then they shall confess their sin which they have done; and he shall recompense his trespass according to the principal thereof, and shall add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਗਲਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਇਵਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਰਕਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਵਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੋਰ ਜਮ੍ਹਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਕਮ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬੁਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

8 And if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, the trespass which is recompensed to Jehovah shall be the priest's, besides the ram of the atonement, wherewith an atonement is made for him.ਪਰ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ। ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਸ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਵੀ ਰਕਮ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਇਸ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਬੁਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਇਵਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਭੇਡ ਦੀ ਬਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਭੇਡ ਦੀ ਬਲੀ ਬੁਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕਣ ਲਈ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੀ ਰਕਮ ਜਾਜਕ ਖੁਦ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

9 And every heave-offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they present unto the priest, shall be his.“ਜੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਜਣਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਸ ਸੁਗਾਤ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਜਾਜਕ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਸੁਗਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਉਸੇ ਦੀ ਹੈ।

10 And every man's hallowed things shall be his: whatever any man giveth the priest shall be his.ਕਿਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਖਾਸ ਸੁਗਾਤਾ ਦੇਣੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸੁਗਾਤਾ ਜਾਜਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।”

11 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਸੁਭਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਤੀ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ,

12 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man's wife go astray, and commit unfaithfulness against him,“ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖ: ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾਈ ਕਰੇ।

13 and a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and she be defiled in secret, and there be no witness against her, and she have not been caught;ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸਨੀ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਛੁਪਾਵੇ। ਅਤੇ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੁਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਾ ਜਾਣੇ। ਅਤੇ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਾ ਦੱਸੇ।

14 and the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she have been defiled, -- or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she have not been defiled,ਪਰ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਤੀ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਾਵੇ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਈਰਖਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇ। ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਚੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।

15 -- then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, a tenth part of an ephah of barley-meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an oblation of jealousy, a memorial oblation, bringing iniquity to remembrance.ਜੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇ। ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਜੌਂਆ ਦੇ ਆਟੇ ਦੇ 8 ਕੱਪ ਭੇਟ ਵਜੋਂ ਲੈ ਜਾਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਜੌਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਟੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇਲ ਜਾਂ ਧੂਫ਼ ਨਾ ਪਾਵੇ। ਇਹ ਜੌਂਆ ਦਾ ਆਟਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਅਨਾਜ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਤੀ ਈਰਖਾਲੂ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਭੇਟ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਵੇਗੀ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।

16 And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before Jehovah.“ਜਾਜਕ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖੜੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

17 And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and the priest shall take of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle, and put it into the water.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਕੁਝ ਖਾਸ ਪਾਣੀ ਲਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਵੇਗਾ। ਜਾਜਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਰਸ਼ ਦੀ ਥੋੜੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।

18 And the priest shall set the woman before Jehovah, and uncover the woman's head, and put the memorial oblation in her hands, which is the jealousy offering; and in the hand of the priest shall be the bitter water that bringeth the curse.ਜਾਜਕ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਲ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਨਾਜ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਜੌਂਆ ਦਾ ਆਟਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਈਰਖਾਲੂ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਉਹ ਕੌੜੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਭਾਂਡਾ ਫ਼ੜੇਗਾ, ਜੋ ਸਰਾਪ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

19 And the priest shall adjure her, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone astray in uncleanness, in being with another instead of thy husband, be free from this bitter water that bringeth the curse.“ਫ਼ੇਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਝੂਠ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੋਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਬੋਲਣ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਾਜਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੇਗਾ: ‘ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁੱਤੀ, ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਆਹੁਤਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਏਗਾ।

20 But if thou hast gone astray to another instead of thy husband, and hast been defiled, and a man other than thy husband have lain with thee,ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਰੱਖੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।

21 -- then the priest shall adjure the woman with the oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman: Jehovah make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when Jehovah doth make thy thigh to shrink, and thy belly to swell;ਜੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁੱਖ ਭੋਗੇਗੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਖਾਸ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਵੇਂਗੀ। ਤੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਔਲਾਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇਂਗੀ। ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਗਿਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੰਦਾ ਬੋਲਣਗੇ।’ “ਫ਼ੇਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਇੱਕ ਖਾਸ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਔਰਤ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਬੁਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ।

22 and this water that bringeth the curse shall enter into thy bowels, to make the belly to swell, and the thigh to shrink. And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਪੀਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਬੱਚੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਗਰਭ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਜੰਮਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਹੀ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।’ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ: ‘ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖਦੇ ਹੋ ਮੈਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹਾਂ।’

23 And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and shall blot them out with the bitter water,“ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀਆਂ ਸੂਚੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਖ ਦੇਣੀਆ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਬਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੋਲ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

24 and he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that bringeth the curse, that the water that bringeth the curse may enter into her for bitterness.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।

25 And the priest shall take out of the woman's hand the oblation of jealousy, and shall wave the oblation before Jehovah, and shall present it at the altar.“ਫ਼ੇਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਅਨਾਜ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ (ਈਰਖਾ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ) ਲੈ ਲਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਉੱਚਾ ਚੁੱਕੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਵੇਗਾ।

26 And the priest shall take a handful of the oblation as a memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar; and afterwards he shall make the woman drink the water.ਜਾਜਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਅਨਾਜ ਲਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਣ ਲਈ ਆਖੇਗਾ।

27 And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, if she have been defiled, and have committed unfaithfulness against her husband, that the water that bringeth the curse shall enter into her, for bitterness, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall shrink; and the woman shall become a curse among her people.ਜੇ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਵੇਗਾ। ਪਾਣੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵੀ ਬੱਚਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗਰਭ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਉਹ ਜੰਮਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਬੱਚੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇਗੀ। ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

28 But if the woman have not been defiled, and be clean, then she shall be clear, and shall conceive seed.ਪਰ ਜੇ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜਾਜਕ ਆਖੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਸਾਧਾਰਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।

29 This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goeth astray to another instead of her husband and is defiled,“ਇਸ ਲਈ ਈਰਖਾ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਬਿਧੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਔਰਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਆਹੁਤਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।

30 or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon a man, and he is jealous as regards his wife; then shall he set the woman before Jehovah, and the priest shall do to her according to all this law.ਜੇਕਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਈਰਖਾਲੂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੀ ਤਾਂ ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਾਜਕ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਆਖੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰੇ ਇਹ ਬਿਧੀ ਹੈ।

31 Then shall the man be free from iniquity, but that woman shall bear her iniquity.ਪਤੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਗਲਤੀ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਜੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਦੁੱਖ ਭੋਗੇਗੀ।”
