ਅਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਮਸ਼ੁੱਲਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ। ਮਸ਼ੁੱਲਾਮ ਸਾਦੋਕ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਸਾਦੋਕ ਮਰਾਯੋਥ ਦਾ ਤੇ ਮਰਾਯੋਥ ਅਹੀਟੂਬ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਅਹੀਟੂਬ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਸੀ।

ਤਦ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਲਿਆਏ। ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੋਈ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਜਬਰਦਸਤੀ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਡਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਭੀੜ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਥਰ ਮਾਰੇ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਪੈਹਰੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਇਸਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਕੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 20:1
ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਪਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਪਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਜਕ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਸਰਬ ਉੱਚ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸੀ। ਪਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਇੰਮੇਰ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਪਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਵਰਾਂਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ।

ਸਰਾਯਾਹ, ਅਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ,

ਗੁਣਾ ਸੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਦਾ ਮੁਖੀ ਥਾਪਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਸੰਭਾਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਪਰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਈਥਾਮਾਰ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਨ।

ਅਹੀਟੂਬ ਸਾਦੋਕ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਹੀਮਾਅਸ ਸੀ।

ਤਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ, ਦੂਜੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਬਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਜੋ ਬਆਲ ਅਤੇ ਅਸ਼ੇਰਾਹ ਦੇਵੀ, ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲਸ਼ਕਰ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਉਣ। ਤਦ ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕਿਦਰੋਨ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਆਹ ਨੂੰ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ।
ਗਿਣਤੀ 4:33
ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮਰਾਰੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ, ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ, ਸੇਵਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਜਾਜਕ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਈਥਾਮਾਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।”
ਗਿਣਤੀ 4:28
ਇਹ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਗੇਰਸ਼ੋਨ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਲਈ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਜਾਜਕ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਈਥਾਮਾਰ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਨੇਤ੍ਰਤਵ ਕਰੇਗਾ।”

“ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੀਆ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਚੀਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕਣ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਮੁਕਾ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕਹਾਥ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੂਹਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਨਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ।
