ਫ਼ਿਰ ਅਹੀਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਝ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੁਣ ਘਰ ਚਲੀ ਜਾ। ਜਦ ਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ’ਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰੇਗੀ, ਤੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤੇ ਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਪੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।”

ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਜਦ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਅਕਰੋਨ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਬਆਲ-ਜ਼ਬੂਲ ਕੋਲ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਉਂ ਭੇਜਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਿਸ ਪਲੰਘ ਉੱਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੈਂ, ਉਸਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਤਰੇਂਗਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਮਰੇਂਗਾ?’”

ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਉਂ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ‘ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਤੂੰ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਰੋਨ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ, ਬਆਲ-ਜਬੂਲ ਕੋਲ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਉਂ ਭੇਜਿਆ? ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਿਸ ਪਲੰਘ ਉੱਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਪਿਆ ਹੈਂ, ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਉਤਰੇਂਗਾ, ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੀ ਮਰੇਂਗਾ।’”

ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਜਾ, ਤੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜੀਵੇਗਾ।” ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ।
