ਤਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਬ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿ ਏਥਾਨੀਮ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ, (ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ) ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ।

ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਪਰਬ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨ ਮਨਾਇਆ। ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੂਹ ਇੰਨਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹਾਮਾਥ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲੇ ਤੀਕ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਗਏ।

ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਦਿਨ ਆਇਆ ਇਹ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਖਾਸ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਲੋ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਪਿਆਸਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਕੇ ਪੀਣ ਦਿਉ।

ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਬ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਆਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਬਚੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ, ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਇਆ ਕਰਣਗੇ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਹਰ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਡੇਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਬ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਆਇਆ ਕਰਣਗੇ।
ਨਹਮਿਆਹ 8:14
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਲੱਭਿਆ: ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਪਰਬ ਲਈ ਆਸਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਕੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜਾਕੇ ਇਹ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ: “ਪਹਾੜੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਜ਼ੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜ਼ੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ, ਮਹਿਂਦੇ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ, ਖਜੂਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਘਣੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਉਣੀਆਂ। ਅਤੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਣਾਏ ਜਾਣ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਇਹ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।”

ਫਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਬ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਦਿਨ ਸਹੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ।

ਤਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਬ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ।

ਇਉਂ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਸਮੇਤ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਭਾ ਸੀ ਉੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਮਾਥ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੱਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀ ਨਦੀ ਤੀਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਉਸ ਪੁਰਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਇਆ। ਉੱਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੀੜ ਇੱਕਤਰ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਖੂਬ ਖਾਧਾ, ਪੀਤਾ ਤੇ ਰੱਜ ਕੇ ਮੌਜ ਮਨਾਈ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਸੱਤਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੋਰ ਠਹਿਰੇ। ਇਉਂ ਕੁਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ 14 ਦਿਨ ਉਤਸਵ ਮਨਾਇਆ।
ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 16:13
ਡੇਰਿਆ ਦਾ ਪਰਬ “ਖਲਵਾੜੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਈਨ ਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨ ਬਾਦ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਬ ਮਨਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਆਸਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਬ “ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ 15ਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ, ਇੱਕ ਖਾਸ ਸਭਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਇਹ ਆਸਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਬ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਕੋਈ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਖਾਸ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਮਨਾਉਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
