ਬੈਤਸ਼ਮਸ਼ ਦੇ ਉਸ ਖੇਤ ਵੱਲ ਛਕੜਾ ਗੱਡੀ ਵੱਧੀ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਕੋਲ ਆਕੇ ਇਹ ਛਕੜਾ ਗੱਡੀ ਖੜੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਤਾਂ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੱਡੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੱਕੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੀਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਗਊਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਬਲੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤਦ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਸੰਦੂਕੜੀ ਸਮੇਤ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਸਨ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਉਤਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਉੱਪਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਤਸ਼ਮਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।
