ਉੱਤਰੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਭੇਜੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਗੱਲ ਸਬਾਪਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਲਿਆਵੇਗੀ।

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਨ-ਹਿੰਨੋਮ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਲੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾੜਿਆ। ਉਹ ਕਾਲਾ ਜਾਦੂ (ਭਵਿੱਖ ਬਾਣੀ) ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਭੂਤ-ਮ੍ਰਿਤ, ਜਾਦੂਗਰ ਅਤੇ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ ਸਨ। ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਤੇ ਬੜਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਸੀ।

ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਲਈ ਤੰਬੂ ਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਜਾ ਟਿਕਾਇਆ। ਉਪਰੰਤ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ।

ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਗਿਬਓਨ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ, ਓੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਉੱਚੀ ਥਾਂ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ 1,000 ਭੇਟਾਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ।

ਸਵੇਰ ਵਕਤ ਜਦੋਂ ਭੇਟ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਪਾਸਿਓ ਪਾਣੀ ਆਉਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਈ।

ਆਹਾਜ਼ ਨੇ ਪਿੱਤਲ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਵੱਲ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਮ੍ਹਣਿਓ ਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰੋ ਹਟਾਅ ਕੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਵੱਲ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਤਦ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ।
੨ ਤਵਾਰੀਖ਼ 29:32
ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਲੋਕੀਂ ਲਿਆਏ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਇਵੇਂ ਸੀ: ਸੱਤਰ ਬਲਦ, ਇੱਕ ਸੌ ਭੇਡ, ਦੋ ਸੌ ਲੇਲੇ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਵਜੋਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
੨ ਤਵਾਰੀਖ਼ 29:35
ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੀਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾ ਸਮੇਤ ਇ ਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਮਾਤਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਹੋਇਆ। ਤਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੜ ਤੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਈ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 44:5
ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਉਸ ਪਿਆਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਅ ਪੀਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਗੁਪਤ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਾਨਣ ਲਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਗਲਤ ਹੈ।’”
