ਤਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗਏ। ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਜਕ, ਨਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਜਾਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਨਾਮਣੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗਏ। ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ। ਇਹ ਉਹ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਇਸ ਪੋਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਸੱਕਣ।

ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਦਾ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਤਦ ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਨ ਜੋ ਸੱਕੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਵੇਖ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ!” ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਪੋਥੀ ਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤਦ ਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਪੋਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ।
ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ 20:12
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਨ, ਦੋਹਾਂ ਵੱਡਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਛੋਟਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ, ਤਖਤ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖਲੋਤਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉੱਥੇ ਹੋਰ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਵੀ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਮਲਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹਰ ਸੱਤ ਸਾਲਾ ਬਾਦ, ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ, ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਬ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ।

ਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ 180 ਦਿਨ ਪੂਰੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਦਾਅਵਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸੱਤਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਚੱਲੀ। ਇਹ ਦਾਅਵਤ ਮਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰਲੇ ਬਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਸ਼ੂਸ਼ਨ ਗੜ੍ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਮ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਖਾਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ।
ਨਹਮਿਆਹ 13:1
ਨਹਮਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਅਖੀਰੀ ਹੁਕਮ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ, ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਮਿਲਿਆ: ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਅੰਮੋਨੀ ਜਾਂ ਮੋਆਬੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
ਨਹਮਿਆਹ 9:3
ਉੱਥੇ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ ਉਹ ਤਿੰਨ ਘਂਟੇ ਖੜੋਤੇ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ। ਫਿਰ ਹੋਰ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਘਂਟਿਆਂ ਲਈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਝੁਕ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਅਜ਼ਰਾ ਨੇ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਪੜ੍ਹੀ ਇਉਂ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਅੱਠਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਜਲ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕੋ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਜ਼ਰਾ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਗੂਆਂ, ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਤੇ ਇਉਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਗਰ-ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਖਾਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਆਮ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮਰਦ ਤੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਔਰਤ।

ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਨਾਂ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੱਟੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਹੋਰੇਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਹੋਰੇਬ ਉਹੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲੇ ਸਨ।
੧ ਸਮੋਈਲ 30:2
ਉਹ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਸਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਦੀ ਬਣਾਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਸਭ ਬੁੱਢੇ-ਜਵਾਨ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ, ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਏ।

ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਗਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਗਏ, ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਡਰ ਗਏ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ, ਕੀ ਵੱਡੇ, ਕੀ ਬੁੱਢੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਭਨਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੜਾ ਕਹਿਰ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ। ਗਥ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਵੇਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਲੱਗ ਗਈਆਂ।
ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 31:26
“ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਪੋਥੀ ਲਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਦਿਉ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਗਵਾਹ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 19:11
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ-ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਦ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਜਵਾਨ ਤੇ ਬੁੱਢਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ।
