Jeremiah 32:36
“ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੋਕ ਆਖ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ, ‘ਬਾਬਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ, ਭੁੱਖਮਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।’ ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ:

“ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ, ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਟੀਲੇ ਬਣਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੀਵਾਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਸੱਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਣ। ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਭੁੱਖਮਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ। ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਹੁਣ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਜੀ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਉਂ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ-ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੇਖ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 32:3
ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਕੈਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਪਸੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: ‘ਮੈਂ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਵੇਗਾ।
ਅਫ਼ਸੀਆਂ 2:3
ਪਿੱਛਲੇ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਹੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਰਹੇ। ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਪਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਾਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਤਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਜਿਉਂ ਰਹੇ ਸਾਂ, ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਲੋਕ ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਸਾਂ।
ਰੋਮੀਆਂ 5:20
ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਈ। ਪਰ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤੇ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਵਰਤਾਈ।
ਹੋ ਸੀਅ 2:14
“ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ (ਯਹੋਵਾਹ) ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਹ ਭਿੱਜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾੜ ਵੱਲ ਲੈ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਮਲ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
ਹਿਜ਼ ਕੀ ਐਲ 36:31
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੋਗੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਕਾਰਿਆਂ ਕਾਰਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ।”
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 32:28
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਸਹਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਵੇਗੀ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 16:12
ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿੱਦੀ ਹੋ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਓਹੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨ ਰਹੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਓਹੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਜੋ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 57:17
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਨੇ, ਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਰੋਹ ਜਗਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਹਿਰਵਾਨ ਸਾਂ। ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਉਧਰ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿੱਧਰ ਉਸਦਾ ਮਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 43:24
ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੈਸਾ ਵਰਤ ਕੇ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਰੀਦੀਆਂ। ਪਰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਝਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਅਮਲਾਂ ਕਾਰਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਿਆ।
