ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਅਜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਪਤਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
