ਖ਼ਰੋਜ 7
1 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਦੂਤ ਵਰਗਾ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਹਾਰੂਨ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਬੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
2 ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਉਹ ਗੱਲ ਦੱਸੀ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇਵਾਂ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਾਂਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੇਸ਼ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
3 ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੱਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਖੇਂਗਾ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਂਨੇਗਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਰਿਸ਼ਮੇ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਇਹ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕੌਣ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੇਗਾ।
4 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
5 ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਚੱਲੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ।”
6 ਮੂਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਮੰਨ ਲਈਆਂ, ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
7 ਮੂਸਾ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ 80 ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ 83 ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ।
8 ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੋਟੀ ਸੱਪ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ,
9 “ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਬੂਤ ਮਂਗੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਕਰਿਸ਼ਮੇ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੀਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੋਟੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਸੁੱਟੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਦੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਸੋਟੀ ਸੱਪ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।”
10 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੂਸਾ ਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਕੋਲ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਿਆ। ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੋਟੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਸੁੱਟੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਖ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਸੋਟੀ ਸੱਪ ਬਣ ਗਈ।
11 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਆਣਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਦੂਗਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਚੁਸਤੀਆਂ ਵਰਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਵਰਗੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
12 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੋਟੀਆਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਸੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੋਟੀਆਂ ਸੱਪ ਬਣ ਗਈਆਂ। ਪਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੀ ਸੋਟੀ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੋਟੀਆਂ ਖਾ ਲਈਆਂ।
13 ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਓਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ। ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
14 ਪਾਣੀ ਖੂਨ ਬਣਿਆ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਜ਼ਿੱਦੀ ਬਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ।
15 ਸਵੇਰ ਵੇਲੇ, ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨਦੀ ਤੇ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਨੀਲ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਜਾਵੀਂ। ਉਹ ਸੋਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਲਵੀਂ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸੱਪ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
16 ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖੀਂ; ‘ਇਬਰਾਨੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਘੱਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਕੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇਵੇ। ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਤੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀਂ।
17 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿਖਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਨੀਲ ਨਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਾਲੀ ਇਹ ਸੋਟੀ ਮਾਰਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਨਦੀ ਖੂਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
18 ਨਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਛੀਆਂ ਮਰ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਨਦੀ ਸਢ਼ਾਂਦ ਮਾਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਵੇਗੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਨਦੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੀ ਸੱਕਣਗੇ।’”
19 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੋਟੀ ਫ਼ੜਕੇ ਨਦੀਆਂ, ਨਹਿਰਾਂ, ਝੀਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਓਸ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਫ਼ੈਲਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਖ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਸਾਰਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਲੱਕੜ ਦੇ ਜਾਂ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੇ ਗਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ, ਖੂਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”
20 ਤਾਂ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਸੋਟੀ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਤੇ ਨੀਲ ਨਦੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਾਰੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਦੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਖੂਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲ ਗਿਆ।
21 ਨਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੱਛੀਆਂ ਮਰ ਗਈਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਨਦੀ ਚੋਂ ਸੜਿਆਂਦ ਮਾਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਨਦੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੀ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਸਨ। ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਖੂਨ ਹੀ ਖੂਨ ਸੀ।
22 ਮਿਸਰੀ ਜਾਦੂਗਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜਾਦੂਗਰੀਆਂ ਵਰਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਓਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀ, ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ।
23 ਉਹ, ਜੋ ਮੂਸਾ ਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਿੱਠ ਮੋੜਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ।
24 ਮਿਸਰੀ ਨਦੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੀ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਣ ਲਈ ਖੂਹ ਪੁੱਟੇ।
25 ਡੱਡੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਨੀਲ ਨਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲਿਆਂ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨ ਬੀਤ ਗਏ।
1 And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
2 Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
3 And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
4 But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
5 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
6 And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord commanded them, so did they.
7 And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.
8 And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
9 When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.
10 And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the Lord had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.
13 And he hardened Pharaoh’s heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.
14 And the Lord said unto Moses, Pharaoh’s heart is hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.
15 Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river’s brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.
16 And thou shalt say unto him, The Lord God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.
17 Thus saith the Lord, In this thou shalt know that I am the Lord: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
18 And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.
19 And the Lord spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
20 And Moses and Aaron did so, as the Lord commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
21 And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.
22 And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the Lord had said.
23 And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.
24 And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.
25 And seven days were fulfilled, after that the Lord had smitten the river.

A Psalm of David.
1 ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਗੀਤ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ-ਆਪ ਅਰਪਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
2 ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਕੀਨ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਆਸ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੱਸਣਗੇ।
O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
3 ਉਹ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਕੀਨ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਗਦਾਰ ਨਾਉਮੀਦ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।
Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
4 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਨਾ ਸਿਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੋ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੌਰ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਉ।
Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.
5 ਮੇਰੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਾਉ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੁਕਤੀਦਾਤਾ ਹੋ। ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਦਿਨ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
6 ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖੋ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ। ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੋਮਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਦਰਸਾਉ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਦਾ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ।
Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
7 ਮੇਰੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁਨਾਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਸਾਂ। ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਭ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਕਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰੋ।
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord.
8 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਣ ਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਸਿੱਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
9 ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਹੋਕੇ ਨਿਮ੍ਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਢੰਗ ਸਿੱਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
10 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਯਾਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਦਿਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਕਰਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
11 ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗਲਤ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਚੰਗਿਆਈ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਮੁਆਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
For thy name’s sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.
12 ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਣ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਦਿਖਾਵੇਗਾ।
What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
13 ਉਹ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
14 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਭੇਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
15 ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਤੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
16 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਤੇ ਇੱਕਲਾ ਹਾਂ। ਆਪਣਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਫ਼ੇਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਵਿਖਾਉ।
Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.
17 ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰੋ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਲਝਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੋ।
The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
18 ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਜ਼ਮਾਇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਕਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਮੁਆਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿਉ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.
19 ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖ, ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੰਨੀ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
20 ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਕੀਨ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ।
O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.
21 ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਹੋ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ।
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
22 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਬਚਾਉ।
Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
