Ezekiel 44:22
ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਜਾਂ ਤਲਾਕਸ਼ੁਦਾ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ। ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੁਆਰੀ ਕੁੜੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਦੀ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।

“ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਗੁਪਤ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪਸੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ। ਜੇ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਾਕ ਦੇ ਕਾਗਜ਼ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਭੇਜ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
੧ ਤਿਮੋਥਿਉਸ 3:2
ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਹੱਦ ਤੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਕੀ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਗਲਤ ਨਾ ਕਹਿ ਸੱਕਣ। ਉਸਦੀ ਕੇਵਲ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਉੱਪਰ ਕਾਬੂ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਣ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਆਗੂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਇਸਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦਾ ਆਖਾ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹੋਣ।

ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਦੂਸਰਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੰਦਾ ਬੋਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੰਜਮ ਹੋਣ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਬਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਹਰ ਗੱਲੋਂ ਇਤਬਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸੱਕੇ।
ਤੀਤੁਸ 1:6
ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਬਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਗਲਤ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਉਣ ਦਾ ਕਸੂਰਵਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਉਸਦੀ ਕੇਵਲ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਇਤਬਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਯੋਗ ਹੋਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਵਾਰਾਗਰਦ ਅਤੇ ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ।
