ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਹ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ, ‘ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ!

ਹੀਰਾ ਪੱਥਰ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਸਖਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਪਕੇਰਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ! ਤੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਜ਼ਿੱਦੀ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ। ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ।”

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ, “ਬਸ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹਾਕਮੋ! ਜ਼ਾਲਮ ਬਨਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਚੁਰਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਛੱਡ ਦਿਓ! ਬੇਲਾਗ ਹੋਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰੋ! ਮੇਰੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਣਾ ਛੱਡ ਦਿਓ!” ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ:

ਅਤੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਉਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਅਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਨੈਤਿਕ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹੀ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਪਸੰਦ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸ਼ਰਾਬੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ, ਐਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਸਤ ਦਾਅਵਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਾਬੀ ਸਭਾਵਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਪਰ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਨਗੇ। ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਟਣਗੇ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਦਰੋਹੀ ਹਨ-ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਆਖੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਣ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਇੱਕ ਨਬੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਲੂ ਨਾਲ ਚਿਪਕਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ-ਤੂੰ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇਂਗਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਿੱਖਾਵੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
