ਸਿਮਓਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀ “ਸਿਮਓਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਭਰਾ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨਾ ਪਸੰਦ ਹੈ।

ਤਿੰਨਾ ਦਿਨਾ ਮਗਰੋਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਹਾਲੇ ਉਹ ਦਰਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ, ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ, ਸ਼ਿਮਓਨ, ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਹੀ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਵੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਲੇਆਹ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸ਼ਿਮਓਨ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਲੇਆਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਤੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਣਗਹਿਲੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।”

ਸਿਮਓਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਯਮੂਏਲ, ਯਾਮੀਨ, ਓਹਦ, ਯਾਕੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਹਰ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਵੀ ਸੀ (ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਕਨਾਨੀ ਔਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਸੀ।)

ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਪਰਵਾਹ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਵਰਗਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
