ਅੱਯੂਬ 3
1 ਅੱਯੂਬ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਨਮ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪਦਾ ਫੇਰ ਅੱਯੂਬ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਉਹ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਸੀ।
2 ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ:
3 “ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦਿਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਂ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਸਾਂ ਸਦਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਗੁੰਮ ਜਾਵੇ। ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਰਾਤ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ।
4 ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੁਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ। ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਦੇਵੇ। ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੇ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਨਾ ਹੋਈ ਹੁੰਦੀ।
5 ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ, ਮੌਤ ਵਰਗਾ ਹਨੇਰਾ। ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਬੱਦਲ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕ ਲੈਂਦੇ। ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਕਾਲੇ ਬੱਦਲ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਭਜਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਸਾਂ।
6 ਉਹ ਰਾਤ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੁਪੀ ਰਹੇ। ਉਸ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਯਂਤਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਵੋ। ਉਸ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਾ ਰੱਖੋ।
7 ਉਸ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਿਉ ਉਸ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਕਿਲਕਾਰੀ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੇ।
8 ਕਈ ਜਾਦੂਗਰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਿਵਯਾਬਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਗਉਣਾ ਲੋਚਦੇ ਨੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰਾਪ ਦੇਣ ਦੇਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਦੇਣ ਦਿਉ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਸਾਂ।
9 ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤ ਦੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਹੋਣ ਦਿਉ, ਉਸ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੇਰ ਦਾ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਦਿਉ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਹਿਲੀਆਂ ਕਿਰਣਾਂ ਨਾ ਦੇਖਣ ਦੇਵੋ।
10 ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਰਾਤ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੋਕਿਆ। ਉਸ ਰਾਤ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੋਕਿਆ।
11 ਮੈਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਸਾਂ? ਮੈਂ ਜਨਮ ਸਮੇਂ ਹੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾ ਮਰਿਆ?
12 ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਗੋਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਉਂ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ? ਮ੍ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੁੱਧੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੁੱਧ ਕਿਉਂ ਚਂੁਘਾਇਆ?
13 ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਸਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਰਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਸੁੱਤਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
14 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬੀਤੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਮਹਿਲ ਬਣਾਏ ਜੋ ਹੁਣ ਖੰਡਰ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
15 ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਫਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਾਕਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਭਰੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ।
16 ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਬੱਚਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਾਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜਨਮ ਵੇਲੇ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਦਫਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ? ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਬੱਚੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਦਿਨ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ।
17 ਬੁਰੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਖੜੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਹਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬਕੱ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਰਾਮ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
18 ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਰਾਮ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਾਰਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੀਕਦਿਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ।
19 ਸਭ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ, ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇੰਨੇ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ। ਗੁਲਾਮ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
20 “ਕਿਉਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਹੀ ਇੱਕ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਜਾਵੇ? ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਦੇਵੋਁ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੁੱਖ੍ਖੀ ਹੈ?
21 ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਮੌਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ। ਉਹ ਉਦਾਸ ਬੰਦਾ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ ਛੁੱਪੇ ਹੋਏ ਖਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
22 ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਬਰ ਲੱਭ ਕੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਵਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਕਬਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਕੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਨਾਉਣਗੇ।
23 ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਪਤ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਕੰਧ ਉਸਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
24 ਜਦੋਂ ਭੋਜਨ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਸਿਰਫ ਗਮ ਦੇ ਹੌਁਕੇ ਭਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ। ਮੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਵੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਂਗਰਾਂ ਫੁੱਟ ਨਿਕਲਦੇ ਨੇ।
25 ਮੈਂ ਡਰਦਾ ਸਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਝ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਨਾ ਵਾਪਰ ਜਾਵੇ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਵਾਪਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਡਰਦਾ ਸਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰ ਗਈਆਂ ਨੇ।
26 ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਸਹਿਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਆਰਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ, ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਉਪਰਾਮ ਹਾਂ।”
1 After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.
2 And Job spake, and said,
3 Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived.
4 Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it.
5 Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it.
6 As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the number of the months.
7 Lo, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come therein.
8 Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to raise up their mourning.
9 Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark; let it look for light, but have none; neither let it see the dawning of the day:
10 Because it shut not up the doors of my mother’s womb, nor hid sorrow from mine eyes.
11 Why died I not from the womb? why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly?
12 Why did the knees prevent me? or why the breasts that I should suck?
13 For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest,
14 With kings and counsellers of the earth, which built desolate places for themselves;
15 Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses with silver:
16 Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light.
17 There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest.
18 There the prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice of the oppressor.
19 The small and great are there; and the servant is free from his master.
20 Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery, and life unto the bitter in soul;
21 Which long for death, but it cometh not; and dig for it more than for hid treasures;
22 Which rejoice exceedingly, and are glad, when they can find the grave?
23 Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God hath hedged in?
24 For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters.
25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.
26 I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.

1 প্রিয় বন্ধুরা, সংসারে অনেক ভণ্ড ভাববাদী দেখা দিয়েছে, তাই তোমরা সব আত্মাকে বিশ্বাস করো না৷ কিন্তু সেই সব আত্মাদের যাচাই করে দেখ য়ে তারা ঈশ্বর হতে এসেছে কিনা৷
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 এইভাবে তোমরা ঈশ্বরের আত্মাকে চিনতে পারবে৷ য়ে কোন আত্মা যীশু খ্রীষ্ট য়ে রক্ত মাংসের দেহ ধারণ করে এসেছেন বলে স্বীকার করে, সে ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে এসেছে৷
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 কিন্তু য়ে আত্মা, যীশুকে স্বীকার করে না, সে ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে আসে নি৷ এ সেই খ্রীষ্টারির আত্মা, খ্রীষ্টের শত্রু য়ে আসছে তা তোমরা শুনেছ, আর এখন সে তো সংসারে এসেই গেছে৷
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 আমার স্নেহের সন্তানগণ, তোমরা ঈশ্বরের লোক, তাই তোমরা ওদের ওপর জযী হয়েছ; কারণ তোমাদের মধ্যে যিনি (ঈশ্বর) বাস করেন তিনি জগতের মধ্যে বাসকারী দিয়াবলের থেকে অনেক মহান৷
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 এই ভণ্ড শিক্ষকরা হল জগতের, তাই তারা যা বলে তা সব জাগতিক কথাবার্তা, আর জগত তাদের কথা শোনে৷
They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 কিন্তু আমরা ঈশ্বরের লোক, ঈশ্বরকে য়ে জানে সে আমাদের কথা শোনে, য়ে ঈশ্বরের লোক নয় সে আমাদের কথা শোনে না৷ এইভাবেই আমরা সত্যের আত্মাকে ও ছলনার আত্মাকে চিনতে পারি৷
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 প্রিয় বন্ধুরা, এস আমরা পরস্পরকে ভালবাসি, কারণ ঈশ্বরই ভালবাসার উত্স আর য়ে কেউ ভালবাসতে জানে সে ঈশ্বরের সন্তান, সে ঈশ্বরকে জানে৷
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 য়ে ভালবাসতে জানে না, সে ঈশ্বরকে জানে না, কারণ ঈশ্বর স্বয়ং হলেন ভালবাসা৷
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 ঈশ্বর আমাদের প্রতি তাঁর ভালবাসা এইভাবেই দেখিয়েছেন, তিনি তাঁর একমাত্র পুত্রকে এ জগতে পাঠালেন য়েন তাঁর মাধ্যমে আমরা জীবন লাভ করি৷
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 ঈশ্বরের প্রতি আমাদের ভালবাসা নয়, বরং আমাদের প্রতি ঈশ্বরের ভালবাসাই হল প্রকৃত ভালবাসা৷ ঈশ্বর আমাদের পাপের প্রায়শ্চিত্ত বলিরূপে তাঁর পুত্রকে পাঠিয়ে আমাদের প্রতি তাঁর ভালবাসা প্রকাশ করেছেন৷
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 প্রিয় বন্ধুরা, এইভাবে ঈশ্বর আমাদের ভালবেসেছেন, সুতরাং আমরাও অবশ্যই পরস্পরকে ভালবাসব৷
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 ঈশ্বরকে কেউ কখনও দেখেনি৷ যদি আমরা পরস্পরকে ভালবাসি, তবে ঈশ্বর আমাদের মধ্যে অবস্থান করেন; আর তাঁর ভালবাসা আমাদের মধ্যে পূর্ণতা লাভ করেছে৷
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 আমরা জানি য়ে তিনি আমাদের মধ্যে আছেন; আর আমরা তাঁর মধ্যে অবস্থান করছি৷ এ বিষয় আমরা জানি, কারণ ঈশ্বর তাঁর আত্মাকে আমাদের দান করেছেন৷
Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14 আমরা দেখেছি পিতা তাঁর পুত্রকে জগতের ত্রাণকর্তারূপে পাঠিয়েছেন৷ সেই বার্তাই আমরা লোকদের কাছে বলছি৷
And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 কেউ যদি স্বীকার করে য়ে, ‘যীশু ঈশ্বরের পুত্র,’ তবে ঈশ্বর তাঁর অন্তরে বাস করেন, আর সে ঈশ্বরেতে থাকে৷
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16 আমাদের জন্য ঈশ্বরের ভালবাসা আছে আমরা তা জানি ও বিশ্বাস করি৷ঈশ্বরই স্বয়ং ভালবাসা, আর য়ে কেউ ভালবাসায় থাকে সে ঈশ্বরের মধ্যে থাকে ও ঈশ্বর তার মধ্যে থাকেন৷
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 যদি আমাদের ক্ষেত্রে ভালবাসা এই ভাবেই পূর্ণতা পায়, তবে শেষ বিচারের দিনে আমরা নির্ভয়ে দাঁড়াতে পারব, কারণ এ জগতে আমরা খ্রীষ্টেরই মতো৷
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 য়েখানে ঈশ্বরের ভালবাসা সেখানে ভয় থাকে না, পরিপূর্ণ ভালবাসা ভয়কে দূর করে দেয়, কারণ ভয়ের সঙ্গে শাস্তির চিন্তা জড়িত থাকে৷ য়ে ভয় পায় সে ভালবাসায় পূর্ণতা লাভ করে নি৷
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19 তিনিই (ঈশ্বর) আগে আমাদের ভালবেসেছেন, আর তার ফলে আমরা ভালবাসতে পারি৷
We love him, because he first loved us.
20 যদি কেউ বলে, ‘সে ঈশ্বরকে ভালবাসে’ অথচ সে তার খ্রীষ্টেতে কোন ভাই ও বোনকে ঘৃণা করে তবে সে মিথ্যাবাদী৷ য়ে ভাইকে দেখতে পাচ্ছে, সে যদি তাকে ঘৃণা করে তবে য়াঁকে সে কোনও দিন চোখে দেখে নি, সেই ঈশ্বরকে সে ভালবাসতে পারে না৷
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 কারণ ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে আমরা এই আদেশ পেয়েছি, ঈশ্বরকে য়ে ভালবাসে সে য়েন তার নিজের ভাইকেও ভালবাসে৷
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
