ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਾਲੀ ਥਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਚੇਲੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਵੇਖੋ! ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ ਕਿੰਨੀਆਂ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਣੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ!”

“ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਗਹਿਣਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁੱਤ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਰਤਿਆ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਬੁੱਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬੁੱਤ ਬਣਾਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ (ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਪਾਕ ਔਰਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਪਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ? ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ ਓੱਥੇ ਬਣਾਈ ਠੀਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ! ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਵੇਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇਖੇਂਗਾ!”

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਦੀ ਸਰਦਲ ਨੇੜਿਓ ਕਰੂਬੀ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਰਿਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਉੱਠਿਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਬੱਦਲ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਚੋ ਤੇਜ਼ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਪੂਰੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਗਈ।

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕਰੂਬੀ ਫ਼ਰਿਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੰਭ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਡ ਗਏ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦਰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਿਆ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਪਹੀਏ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਕੋਲ ਰੁਕ ਗਏ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਹਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ।

ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕਰੂਬੀ ਫ਼ਰਿਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੰਭ ਖਿਲਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਡ ਗਏ। ਪਹੀਏ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ। ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੀ।

ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: “ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਦੂਤ ਭੇਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਰਾਹ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰੇ। ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਜਿਸ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭਾਲਦੇ ਹੋ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਨਵੇਂ ਨੇਮ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਯਿਸੂ ਮੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਕੇ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿਖਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਏ।
ਲੋਕਾ 21:5
ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਚੇਲੇ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਦਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, “ਇਹ ਬੜਾ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਮੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧੀਆ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਵੇਖੋ, ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਤੋਹਫ਼ੇ ਭੇਂਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।”
