“ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਖਾਸ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ: ਹਰੇਕ ਲੇਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ 25 ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆ ਦਾ ਜਾਂ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ। ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਆਵੇ।

ਤੀਹ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰਲੇ ਆਦਮੀਆ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕਰੋ ਜੋ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਗੇ

ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਔਕੜਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਾਗੀ ਬਣੋ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਔਕੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਝੱਲੋ।
੧ ਤਿਮੋਥਿਉਸ 6:12
ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਨਾ ਦੌੜ ਦੌੜਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੌੜ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਲਈ ਪੂਰਾ ਤਾਣ ਲਾ ਦਿਉ। ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਵੋ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਬਾਰੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਸੱਚ ਸਵਿਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਤਿਮੋਥਿਉਸ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਅਤੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਸੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਗੰਮ ਵਾਕਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਚੱਲੋ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਲਈ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਲੜੋ।
੨ ਕੁਰਿੰਥੀਆਂ 10:4
ਅਸੀਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੁਨਿਆਵੀ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਡੇ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਦੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਟਿਕਾਣਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ, ਅਸੀਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਲੀਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਹਾਂ।
੧ ਕੁਰਿੰਥੀਆਂ 9:7
ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਰਚੇ ਤੇ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਨਾ ਖਾਵੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਾਗ ਖੁਦ ਬੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਥੋੜਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਦੁੱਧ ਪੀਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।
੧ ਤਵਾਰੀਖ਼ 28:12
ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹਿਸਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਕਸ਼ੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੇ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨਕਸ਼ੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਇਰਦ-ਗਿਰਦ ਦੇ ਦਲਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਸ-ਪਾਸ ਦੇ ਕਮਰਿਆਂ, ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਗੋਦਾਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੋਦਾਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਕਸ਼ੇ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ ਜਾਣੀਆਂ ਸਨ।

ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਨਾਂ ਸੂਚੀ ’ਚ ਅੰਕਿਤ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਲੇਵੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸੂਚੀ ’ਚ ਦਰਜ ਸੀ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਸੂਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਸਨ ਉਹ 20 ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਜਾਂ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਵੱਧੀਕ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਗਿਣਤੀ 4:23
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦਮੀਆ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ 30 ਤੋਂ 50 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
