ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 51
1 ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਲਈ: ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਗੀਤ। ਇਹ ਗੀਤ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਨਾਥਾਨ ਨੱਬੀ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਬਥਸ਼ਬਾ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦਾਊਦ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਆਪਣੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਭਰੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਾਰਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਯਾ ਕਰ। ਆਪਣੀ ਮਹਾਨ ਦਯਾ ਕਾਰਣ, ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇ।
2 ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਧੋ ਸੁੱਟ। ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਧੋ ਸੁੱਟ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਬਣਾ ਦੇ।
3 ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਮੈਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁਨਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
4 ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਗਲਤ ਆਖਦੇ ਹੋਂ। ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਮੈਂ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ। ਮੈਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਣ ਲਈ ਸਵੀਕਾਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਗਲਤ ਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਹੀ ਸੀ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਹਨ।
5 ਮੈਂ ਗੁਨਾਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਸਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗਰਭ ਅੰਦਰ ਧਾਰਣ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
6 ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਹੋਵਾਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੱਚੀ ਸੂਝ ਮੇਰੇ ਧੁਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਰੱਖੋ।
7 ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੌਦੇ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਰਸਮ ਕਰੋ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਧੋਵੋ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਂ ਬਰਫ਼ ਵਾਂਗੂ ਚਿੱਟਾ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵਾਂ।
8 ਮੈਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰੋ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਦੱਸੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਣ ਦਿਉ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸਾਂ ਕੁਚੱਲਿਆ ਸੀ।
9 ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਨਾਹਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਨਾ ਤੱਕੋ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਟਾ ਦਿਉ।
10 ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦੀ ਸਾਜਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਰੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਉ।
11 ਮੈਨੂੰ ਧੱਕ ਕੇ ਦੂਰ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਾ ਖਿੱਚੋ।
12 ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਦਿਉ। ਮੇਰੀ ਰੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਣ ਲਈ ਤੱਤਪਰ ਬਣਾਉ।
13 ਮੈਂ ਗੁਨਾਹਗਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜਿਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਵਾਪਸ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੱਲ ਪਰਤਨਗੇ।
14 ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਜਾਏ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉ, ਮੇਰੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਹ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਗਾਉਣ ਦਿਉ।
15 ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਉਸਤਤਾਂ ਗਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
16 ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
17 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਬਲੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਗੁਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਰੂਹ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੋੜਦੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਲਾਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਮ੍ਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
18 ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਨਾਲ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋ। ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੁਨਰ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਕਰੋ।
19 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਨ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣੋਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਲਦ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣਗੇ।

2 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
3 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
4 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
5 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
6 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
7 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
8 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
9 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
10 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
11 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
12 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
13 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
14 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
15 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
16 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
17 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
18 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
19 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
20 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.

1 ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਗੀਤ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ-ਆਪ ਅਰਪਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
2 ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਕੀਨ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਆਸ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੱਸਣਗੇ।
O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
3 ਉਹ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਕੀਨ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਗਦਾਰ ਨਾਉਮੀਦ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।
Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
4 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਨਾ ਸਿਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੋ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੌਰ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਉ।
Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.
5 ਮੇਰੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਾਉ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੁਕਤੀਦਾਤਾ ਹੋ। ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਦਿਨ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
6 ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖੋ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ। ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੋਮਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਦਰਸਾਉ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਦਾ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ।
Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
7 ਮੇਰੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁਨਾਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਸਾਂ। ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਭ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਕਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰੋ।
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord.
8 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਣ ਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਸਿੱਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
9 ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਹੋਕੇ ਨਿਮ੍ਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਢੰਗ ਸਿੱਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
10 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਯਾਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਦਿਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਕਰਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
11 ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗਲਤ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਚੰਗਿਆਈ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਮੁਆਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
For thy name’s sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.
12 ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਣ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਦਿਖਾਵੇਗਾ।
What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
13 ਉਹ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
14 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਭੇਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
15 ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਤੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
16 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਤੇ ਇੱਕਲਾ ਹਾਂ। ਆਪਣਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਫ਼ੇਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਵਿਖਾਉ।
Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.
17 ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰੋ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਲਝਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੋ।
The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
18 ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਜ਼ਮਾਇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਕਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਮੁਆਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿਉ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.
19 ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖ, ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੰਨੀ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
20 ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਕੀਨ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ।
O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.
21 ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਹੋ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ।
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
22 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਬਚਾਉ।
Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
