Proverbs 14:28
ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਮਿਸਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਔਖੇ ਤੋਂ ਔਖੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਉਹ ਓਨਾ ਹੀ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਵੱਧੇ ਫ਼ੁੱਲੇ ਤੇ ਫ਼ੈਲੇ। ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਲੋਕ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਡਰ ਗਏ।

ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਰੇਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਣਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸੀ। ਲੋਕ ਖਾ-ਪੀ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ ਸਨ।

ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਵੀ ਜੰਗ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਏ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਅਰਾਮੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਨਿਕਲੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਲਾ ਲਏ। ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਇਉਂ ਜਾਪਦੇ ਸਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਠੋਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਛੋਟੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਹੋਣ ਜਦ ਕਿ ਅਰਾਮੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਸ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
2 Kings 10:32
ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਭਾਗ-ਖੰਡ ਕਰ ਘਟਾਉਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਅਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਹੱਦ ਤੋਂ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਲੱਗਾ।
2 Kings 13:7
ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਆਹਾਜ਼ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 50 ਘੁੜਸਵਾਰ, 10 ਰੱਥ ਅਤੇ 10,000 ਪੈਦਲ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਹੀ ਛੱਡੇ। ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਆਹਾਜ਼ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਝ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਗਾਹੁਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੂੜੀ ਹਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਡਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
