Psalm 18 - YLT (Punjabi)

1 To the Overseer. -- By a servant of Jehovah, by David, who hath spoken to Jehovah the words of this song in the day Jehovah delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul, and he saith: -- I love Thee, O Jehovah, my strength.ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਲਈ: ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਗੀਤ। ਇਹ ਗੀਤ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੇਰੀ ਤਾਕਤ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।”

2 Jehovah `is' my rock, and my bulwark, And my deliverer, My God `is' my rock, I trust in Him: My shield, and a horn of my salvation, My high tower.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਚੱਟਾਨ, ਮੇਰਾ ਗੜ੍ਹ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਸਥਾਨ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਨੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਢਾਲ ਹੈ, ਉਸਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉੱਚੇ ਪਰਬਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਛੁਪਨਗਾਹ ਹੈ।

3 The `Praised One' I call Jehovah, And from my enemies I am saved.ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਉਡਾਇਆ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ।

4 Compassed me have cords of death, And streams of the worthless make me afraid.ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਮੇਰੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਿਕੰਜੇ ਸਨ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਰੁੜ੍ਹ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਸਾਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮ੍ਰਿਤੂ ਲੋਕ ਵੱਲ ਲਿਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

5 Cords of Sheol have surrounded me, Before me have been snares of death.ਕਬਰ ਦੇ ਰੱਸੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਘੇਰੀ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਜਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਿਛੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।

6 In mine adversity I call Jehovah, And unto my God I cry. He heareth from His temple my voice, And My cry before Him cometh into His ears.ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਘੇਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸਾਂ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਹਾਂ, ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਚੀਕਿਆ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਚੀਕ ਸੁਣੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਿਆ।

7 And shake and tremble doth the earth, And foundations of hills are troubled, And they shake -- because He hath wrath.ਧਰਤੀ ਹਿਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਬੀ; ਸਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਥਮਲੇ ਵੀ ਹਿੱਲ ਗਏ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਸੀ।

8 Gone up hath smoke by His nostrils, And fire from His mouth consumeth, Coals have been kindled by it.ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨੱਕ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਧੂਆਂ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਲਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਟਾਂ ਨਿਕਲੀਆਂ, ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਬਲਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਚੰਗਿਆੜੇ ਉੱਡੇ।

9 And He inclineth the heavens, and cometh down, And thick darkness `is' under His feet.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਪਾੜ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਹੇਠਾ ਆਇਆ। ਉਹ ਗਹਿਰੇ ਕਾਲੇ ਬੱਦਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਸੀ।

10 And He rideth on a cherub, and doth fly, And He flieth on wings of wind.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਡ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਤੇਜ਼ ਦੇ ਕਰੂਬੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਉੱਡ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਹਵਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਦੀ ਉੱਡ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

11 He maketh darkness His secret place, Round about Him His tabernacle, Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੁਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਘੇਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਛੁਪਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

12 From the brightness over-against Him His thick clouds have passed on, Hail and coals of fire.ਫ਼ੇਰ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਚਮਕਦੀ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾੜਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿੱਕਲੀ। ਇਸਨੇ ਗੜ੍ਹੇਮਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਲਸ਼ਕਾਈ।

13 And thunder in the heavens doth Jehovah, And the Most High giveth forth His voice, Hail and coals of fire.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਗਰਜਿਆ। ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣਾਈ। ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਗੜ੍ਹੇਮਾਰ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਲਿਸ਼ਕ ਉੱਠੀ।

14 And He sendeth His arrows and scattereth them, And much lightning, and crusheth them.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੀਰ ਛੱਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਜਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਰਣਾਂ ਫ਼ੈਲਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਘਬਰਾਹਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ।

15 And seen are the streams of waters, And revealed are foundations of the earth. From Thy rebuke, O Jehovah, From the breath of the spirit of Thine anger.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿੱਛਾਹਾਂ ਧੱਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਤਲਾ ਵੇਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਸਾਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੁਨਿਆਦਾਂ ਵੀ ਦੇਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਸਾਂ।

16 He sendeth from above -- He taketh me, He draweth me out of many waters.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਉਚਾਈ ’ਚੋਂ ਹੇਠਾ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਪਾਣੀ (ਮੁਸੀਬਤ) ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲ ਖਿੱਚਿਆ।

17 He delivereth me from my strong enemy, And from those hating me, For they have been stronger than I.ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਸਨ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ।

18 They go before me in a day of my calamity And Jehovah is for a support to me.ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਸੰਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਂ, ਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੇਰਿਆਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ।

19 And He bringeth me forth to a large place, He draweth me out, because He delighted in me.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਇਆ। ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ।

20 Jehovah doth recompense me According to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands, He doth return to me.ਮੈਂ ਬੇਗੁਨਾਹ ਹਾਂ, ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਨਾਮ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

21 For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not done wickedly against my God.ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਨੇ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ।

22 For all His judgments `are' before me, And His statutes I turn not from me.ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਆਚਰਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

23 And I am perfect with him, And I keep myself from mine iniquity.ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਮਿੱਤ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਤੇ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰ ਸਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦੇ ਕਾਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ।

24 And Jehovah doth return to me, According to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands, Over-against his eyes.ਇਸੇ ਲਈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਨਾਮ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਕਿਉ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਬੇਕਸੂਰ ਹਾਂ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਗਲਤ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

25 With the kind Thou showest Thyself kind, With a perfect man showest Thyself perfect.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਛਿੜਕ। ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਤੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ।

26 With the pure Thou showest Thyself pure, And with the perverse showest Thyself a wrestler,ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਮੀਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੀਸਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਚਤੁਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋਂ।

27 For Thou a poor people savest, And the eyes of the high causest to fall.ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਨਿਮ੍ਰ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਮਾਨੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਵਾਉਦਾ ਹੈਂ।

28 For Thou -- Thou lightest my lamp, Jehovah my God enlighteneth my darkness.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਦੀਵਾ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕਰੋ। ਮੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰੇ ਚਾਰ-ਚੁਫ਼ੇਰੇ ਫ਼ੈਲੇ ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

29 For by Thee I run -- a troop! And by my God I leap a wall.ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ, ਮੈਂ ਫ਼ੌਜੀਆਂ ਸੰਗ ਭੱਜ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

30 God! perfect `is' His way, The saying of Jehovah is tried, A shield `is' He to all those trusting in Him.ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਪਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਸਥਾ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।

31 For who `is' God besides Jehovah? And who `is' a rock save our God?ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ।

32 God! who is girding me `with' strength, And He maketh perfect my way.ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਾਕਤ ਬਖਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਜੀਵਨ ਜਿਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

33 Making my feet like hinds, And on my high places causeth me to stand.ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਿਰਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਤਿਖਾ ਦੌੜਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਸਥਿਰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।

34 Teaching my hands for battle, And a bow of brass was brought down by my arms.ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜੰਗ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਬਾਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਝੁਕਾ ਸੱਕਣ।

35 And Thou givest to me the shield of Thy salvation, And Thy right hand doth support me, And Thy lowliness maketh me great.ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਸਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ। ਤੁਸਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੱਜੀ ਬਾਂਹ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤੁਸਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ।

36 Thou enlargest my step under me, And mine ankles have not slidden.ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਲੱਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਿੱਟਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਠੋਕਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਤੇਜ ਤੁਰ ਸੱਕਾਂ।

37 I pursue mine enemies, and overtake them, And turn back not till they are consumed.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜ ਸੱਕਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕੀਤੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਵਾਪਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੁੜਾਂਗਾ।

38 I smite them, and they are not able to rise, They fall under my feet,ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਉੱਠ ਸੱਕਣਗੇ। ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

39 And Thou girdest me `with' strength for battle, Causest my withstanders to bow under me.ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਡੇਗਿਆ।

40 As to mine enemies -- Thou hast given to me the neck, As to those hating me -- I cut them off.ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਦੀ ਗਿੱਚੀ ਤੇ ਵਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮੌਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਥੱਲੇ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ।

41 They cry, and there is no saviour, On Jehovah, and He doth not answer them.ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਸੱਕੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀ ਸੀ।

42 And I beat them as dust before wind, As mire of the streets I empty them out.ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਟੁਕੜੇ ਕੀਤੇ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਖਾਕ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਨ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਹਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਡਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਟੋਟੇ-ਟੋਟੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

43 Thou dost deliver me From the strivings of the people, Thou placest me for a head of nations, A people I have not known do serve me.ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਬਣਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ।

44 At the hearing of the ear they hearken to me, Sons of a stranger feign obedience to me,ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੌਰਨ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਡਰਨਗੇ।

45 Sons of a stranger fade away, And are slain out of their close places.ਉਹ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਬਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਬੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਛੁਪਣਗਾਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਆਉਣਗੇ।

46 Jehovah liveth -- and blessed `is' my rock, And exalted is the God of my salvation.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਜਾਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਓਟ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ।

47 God -- who is giving vengeance to me, And He subdueth peoples under me,ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੰਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

48 My deliverer from mine enemies, Above my withstanders Thou raisest me, From a man of violence dost deliver me.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਆ ਖਲੋਏ ਸਨ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਾਲਮ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ।

49 Therefore I confess Thee among nations, O Jehovah, And to Thy name I sing praise,ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਲਈ, ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

50 Magnifying the salvation of His king, And doing kindness to His anointed, To David, and to his seed -- unto the age!ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਕਈ ਯੁੱਧ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਸਦਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਰਾਜੇ ਲਈ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਅੰਸ਼ ਲਈ ਸਦਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
