Psalm 44 - BBE (Punjabi)

1 <To the chief music-maker. Of the sons of Korah Maschil.> It has come to our ears, O God, our fathers have given us the story, of the works which you did in their days, in the old times,ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਲਈ: ਕੋਰਹ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਭੱਗਤੀ ਗੀਤ। ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ। ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਕਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

2 Uprooting the nations with your hand, and planting our fathers in their place; cutting down the nations, but increasing the growth of your people.ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੁਸਾਂ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਅਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਤੁਸਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਚਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

3 For they did not make the land theirs by their swords, and it was not their arms which kept them safe; but your right hand, and your arm, and the light of your face, because you had pleasure in them.ਇਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਾਹੂਬਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੇਤੂ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਵਾਲੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ। ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਮਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਇਆ। ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਸਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਸੰਦ ਕੀਤਾ।

4 You are my King and my God; ordering salvation for Jacob.ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੋ। ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿਉ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਵੱਲ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰੋ।

5 Through you will we overcome our haters; by your name will they be crushed under our feet who are violent against us.ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ, ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿੱਛਾਂਹ ਧੱਕ ਦੇਵਾਂਗੇ। ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਚਲ ਦਿਆਂਗੇ।

6 I will not put faith in my bow, my sword will not be my salvation.ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਾਣ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਤਬਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਾ ਸੱਕਦੀ।

7 But it is you who have been our saviour from those who were against us, and have put to shame those who had hate for us.ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਸਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।

8 Our pride is in God at all times, to his name we give praise for ever. (Selah.)ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਦਿਨ ਭਰ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਦਾ-ਸਦਾ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।

9 But now you have sent us away from you, and put us to shame; you do not go out with our armies.ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਸਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਸੰਗ ਮੈਦਾਨੇ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਏ।

10 Because of this we are turned back by the attacker: those who have hate for us take our goods for themselves.ਤੁਸਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਿੱਛਾਂਹ ਧੱਕਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸਾਡੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਲੈ ਲਈ।

11 You have made us like sheep which are taken for meat; we are put to flight among the nations.ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਰੋਟੀ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਿਲਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ।

12 You let your people go for nothing; your wealth is not increased by their price.ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਵੇਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।

13 You have made us to be looked down on by our neighbours, we are laughed at and shamed by those who are round about us.ਸਾਡੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਤੁਸਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਹੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਜ਼ਾ ਉਡਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

14 Our name is a word of shame among the nations, a sign for the shaking of heads among the peoples.ਅਸੀਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੁਣਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੁਟਕਲੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਾਂ। ਬਿਨ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਹਿਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

15 My downfall is ever before me, and I am covered with the shame of my face;ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁੱਬਿਆ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਤੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

16 Because of the voice of him who says sharp and bitter words; because of the hater and him who is the instrument of punishment.ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਮੂੰਹ ਛੁਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਖੌਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਚੋਭਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

17 All this has come on us, but still we have kept you in our memory; and we have not been false to your word.ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁੱਲੇ ਹਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਝੂਠੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਾਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਸਤਾਖਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

18 Our hearts have not gone back, and our steps have not been turned out of your way;ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਿੱਠ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਹੈ।

19 Though you have let us be crushed in the place of jackals, though we are covered with darkest shade.ਪਰ ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਕੁਚਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਗਿੱਦੜ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮੌਤ ਵਰਗੀ ਹਨੇਰੀ ਹੈ।

20 If the name of our God has gone out of our minds, or if our hands have been stretched out to a strange god,ਕੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਏ ਸੀ। ਕੀ ਅਸਾਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ? ਨਹੀਂ?

21 Will not God make search for it? for he sees the secrets of the heart.ਅਵਸ਼ ਹੀ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਭੇਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।

22 Truly, because of you we are put to death every day; we are numbered like sheep for destruction.ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਮਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਸਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

23 Why are you sleeping, O Lord? awake! and come to our help, do not give us up for ever.ਉੱਠੋ, ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਿਕ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਸੌਂ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ? ਉੱਠ ਪਵੋ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੋ।

24 Why is your face covered, and why do you give no thought to our trouble and our cruel fate?ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਲੁਕ ਗਏ ਹੋਂ? ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਏ ਹੋ?

25 For our souls are crushed down to the dust: our bodies are stretched out on the earth.ਸਾਨੂੰ ਖਾਕ ਅੰਦਰ ਧੱਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਮੂਧੇ ਊਁਹ ਖਾਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਏ ਹਾਂ।

26 Up! and come to our help, and give us salvation because of your mercy.ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉੱਠੋ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰੋ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਸਦਕਾ ਬਚਾ ਲਵੋ।
