Amos 9:5
ఆయన సైన్యములకధిపతి యగు యెహోవా; ఆయన భూమిని మొత్తగా అది కరిగి పోవును, అందులోని నివాసులందరును ప్రలాపింతురు, నైలునదివలెనే అదియంతయు ఉబుకుచుండును, ఐగుప్తు దేశపు నైలునదివలెనే అది అణగిపోవును.

| land, the | בָּאָ֙רֶץ֙ | bāʾāreṣ | ba-AH-RETS |
| and it shall melt, | וַתָּמ֔וֹג | wattāmôg | va-ta-MOɡE |
| all and | וְאָבְל֖וּ | wĕʾoblû | veh-ove-LOO |
| that dwell | כָּל | kāl | kahl |
| mourn: shall therein | י֣וֹשְׁבֵי | yôšĕbê | YOH-sheh-vay |
| and it shall rise up | בָ֑הּ | bāh | va |
| wholly | וְעָלְתָ֤ה | wĕʿoltâ | veh-ole-TA |
| like a flood; | כַיְאֹר֙ | kayʾōr | hai-ORE |
| drowned, be shall and | כֻּלָּ֔הּ | kullāh | koo-LA |
| as by the flood | וְשָׁקְעָ֖ה | wĕšoqʿâ | veh-shoke-AH |
| of Egypt. | כִּיאֹ֥ר | kîʾōr | kee-ORE |
| מִצְרָֽיִם׃ | miṣrāyim | meets-RA-yeem |
