Deuteronomy 2:12
పూర్వకాలమున హోరీయులు శేయీరులో నివసించిరి. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు యెహోవా తమకిచ్చిన స్వాస్థ్యమైన దేశములో చేసినట్లు ఏశావు సంతానపువారు హోరీయుల దేశమును స్వాధీన పరచుకొని తమ యెదుటనుండి వారిని నశింపజేసి వారి దేశములో నివసించిరి.

| destroyed had they when them, | וַיַּשְׁמִידוּם֙ | wayyašmîdûm | va-yahsh-mee-DOOM |
| them from before | מִפְּנֵיהֶ֔ם | mippĕnêhem | mee-peh-nay-HEM |
| dwelt and them, | וַיֵּֽשְׁב֖וּ | wayyēšĕbû | va-yay-sheh-VOO |
| in their stead; | תַּחְתָּ֑ם | taḥtām | tahk-TAHM |
| as | כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֧ר | kaʾăšer | ka-uh-SHER |
| Israel | עָשָׂ֣ה | ʿāśâ | ah-SA |
| did | יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל | yiśrāʾēl | yees-ra-ALE |
| land the unto | לְאֶ֙רֶץ֙ | lĕʾereṣ | leh-EH-RETS |
| of his possession, | יְרֻשָּׁת֔וֹ | yĕruššātô | yeh-roo-sha-TOH |
| which | אֲשֶׁר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| Lord the | נָתַ֥ן | nātan | na-TAHN |
