ఇతడు ఇట్టి సమాచారము వారికి ప్రకటన చేయుటవలన ఈ పట్టణ ములో నిలిచియున్న యోధుల చేతులను ప్రజలందరి చేతులను బలహీనము చేయుచున్నాడు; చిత్తగించి వానికి మరణశిక్ష విధింపుము.

Therefore the princes	הַשָּׂרִ֜ים	śar	sahr
unto	אֶל	ʾēl	ale
the king,	הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ	melek	meh-LEK
be put to death:	י֣וּמַת	mût	moot
We beseech thee,	נָא֮	nāʾ	na
let	אֶת	ʾēt	ate
man	הָאִ֣ישׁ	ʾîš	eesh
this	הַזֶּה֒	ze	zeh
for	כִּֽי	kî	kee
	עַל	ʿal	al
thus	כֵּ֡ן	kēn	kane
he	הֽוּא	hûʾ	hoo
weakeneth	מְרַפֵּ֡א	rāpâ	ra-FA
	אֶת	ʾēt	ate
the hands	יְדֵי֩	yād	yahd
of the men	אַנְשֵׁ֨י	ʾîš	eesh
of war	הַמִּלְחָמָ֜ה	milḥāmâ	meel-ha-MA
that remain	הַֽנִּשְׁאָרִ֣ים׀	šāʾar	sha-AR
city,	בָּעִ֣יר	ʿîr	eer
in this	הַזֹּ֗את	zōt	zote
	וְאֵת֙	ʾēt	ate
and the hands	יְדֵ֣י	yād	yahd
of all	כָל	kōl	kole
the people,	הָעָ֔ם	ʿam	am
in speaking	לְדַבֵּ֣ר	dābar	da-VAHR
unto	אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם	ʾēl	ale
words	כַּדְּבָרִ֖ים	dābār	da-VAHR
such	הָאֵ֑לֶּה	ʾēlle	ay-LEH
them: for	כִּ֣י׀	kî	kee
man	הָאִ֣ישׁ	ʾîš	eesh
this	הַזֶּ֗ה	ze	zeh
not	אֵינֶ֨נּוּ	ʾayin	ah-YEEN
seeketh	דֹרֵ֧שׁ	dāraš	da-RAHSH
the welfare	לְשָׁל֛וֹם	šālôm	sha-LOME
people,	לָעָ֥ם	ʿam	am
of this	הַזֶּ֖ה	ze	zeh
but	כִּ֥י	kî	kee
	אִם	ʾim	eem
the hurt.	לְרָעָֽה׃	raʿ	ra
