తాళవృక్షము నెక్కుదుననుకొంటిని దాని శాఖలను పట్టుకొందుననుకొంటిని నీ కుచములు ద్రాక్షగెలలవలె నున్నవి. నీ శ్వాసవాసన జల్దరుఫల సువాసనవలె నున్నది.

| tree, palm the to | בְתָמָ֔ר | bĕtāmār | veh-ta-MAHR |
| hold take will I | אֹֽחֲזָ֖ה | ʾōḥăzâ | oh-huh-ZA |
| of the boughs | בְּסַנְסִנָּ֑יו | bĕsansinnāyw | beh-sahn-see-NAV |
| now thereof: | וְיִֽהְיוּ | wĕyihĕyû | veh-YEE-heh-yoo |
| also thy breasts | נָ֤א | nāʾ | na |
| shall be | שָׁדַ֙יִךְ֙ | šādayik | sha-DA-yeek |
| as clusters | כְּאֶשְׁכְּל֣וֹת | kĕʾeškĕlôt | keh-esh-keh-LOTE |
| vine, the of | הַגֶּ֔פֶן | haggepen | ha-ɡEH-fen |
| and the smell | וְרֵ֥יחַ | wĕrêaḥ | veh-RAY-ak |
| of thy nose | אַפֵּ֖ךְ | ʾappēk | ah-PAKE |
| like apples; | כַּתַּפּוּחִֽים׃ | kattappûḥîm | ka-ta-poo-HEEM |
