అప్పుడు దేశపు జనులందరును బయలు గుడికి పోయి దానిని పడగొట్టి దాని బలిపీఠములను ప్రతి మలను ఛిన్నాభిన్నములుచేసి, బయలునకు యాజకుడైన మత్తానును బలిపీఠముల ముందర చంపివేసిరి. మరియు యాజకుడైన యెహోయాదా యెహోవా మందిరమును కాచుకొనుటకు మనుష్యులను నియమించెను.
