అతని యేలుబడిలో తొమి్మదవ సంవత్సరమందు పదియవ మాసము పదియవ దినమందు బబులోను రాజైన నెబుకద్నెజరును అతని సైన్యమంతయును యెరూషలేము మీదికి వచ్చి దానికెదురుగా దిగి దాని చుట్టును ముట్టడి దిబ్బలు కట్టిరి.
