அவர்கள் சேனைகளுடைய கர்த்தரின் ஜனத்துக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பெருமைபாராட்டி அவர்களை நிந்தித்தபடியினால், இது அவர்கள் அகங்காரத்துக்குப் பதிலாக அவர்களுக்குக் கிடைக்கும்.

יְהוָ֥ה

And the coast	וְהָ֣יָה	wĕhāyâ	veh-HA-ya
shall be	חֶ֗בֶל	ḥebel	HEH-vel
for the remnant	לִשְׁאֵרִ֛ית	lišʾērît	leesh-ay-REET
of the house	בֵּ֥ית	bêt	bate
of Judah;	יְהוּדָ֖ה	yĕhûdâ	yeh-hoo-DA
they shall feed	עֲלֵיהֶ֣ם	ʿălêhem	uh-lay-HEM
thereupon:	יִרְע֑וּן	yirʿûn	yeer-OON
in the houses	בְּבָתֵּ֣י	bĕbottê	beh-voh-TAY
of Ashkelon	אַשְׁקְל֗וֹן	ʾašqĕlôn	ash-keh-LONE
shall they lie down	בָּעֶ֙רֶב֙	bāʿereb	ba-EH-REV
in the evening:	יִרְבָּצ֔וּן	yirbāṣûn	yeer-ba-TSOON
for	כִּ֧י	kî	kee
the Lord	יִפְקְדֵ֛ם	yipqĕdēm	yeef-keh-DAME
their God	יְהוָ֥ה	yĕhwâ	yeh-VA
shall visit	אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֖ם	ʾĕlōhêhem	ay-loh-hay-HEM
them, and turn away	וְשָׁ֥ב	wĕšāb	veh-SHAHV
their captivity.	שְׁבִותָֽם׃	šĕbiwtām	sheh-veev-TAHM
