இப்படிச் சவுல் இஸ்ரவேலை ஆளுகிற ராஜ்யபாரத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டு, சுற்றிலும் இருக்கிற தன்னுடைய எல்லாச் சத்துருக்களுமாகிய மோவாபியருக்கும், அம்மோன் புத்திரருக்கும், ஏதோமியருக்கும், சோபாவின் ராஜாக்களுக்கும், பெலிஸ்தருக்கும் விரோதமாக யுத்தம் பண்ணி, எவர்கள் மேல் படையெடுத்தானோ, அவர்களையெல்லாம் அடக்கினான்.
