1ஆசா அரசாண்ட முப்பத்தாறாம் வருஷத்திலே, இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய பாஷா யூதாவுக்கு விரோதமாய் வந்து, ஒருவரும் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவினிடத்தில் போக்கும் வரத்துமாயிராதடிக்கு ராமாவைக் கட்டினான்.In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
2அப்பொழுது ஆசா கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலும் ராஜாவின் அரமனையிலுமுள்ள பொக்கிஷங்களிலுள்ள வெள்ளியும் பொன்னும் எடுத்து, தமஸ்குவில் வாசம்பண்ணுகிற பெனாதாத் என்னும் சீரியாவின் ராஜாவினிடத்துக்கு அனுப்பி:Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king's house, and sent to Benhadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,
3எனக்கும் உமக்கும், என் தகப்பனுக்கும் உம்முடைய தகப்பனுக்கும் உடன்படிக்கை உண்டே; இதோ, வெள்ளியும் பொன்னும் உமக்கு அனுப்பினேன்; இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய பாஷா என்னைவிட்டுவிலகிப்போகும்படிக்கு நீர் வந்து, அவனோடு செய்த உடன்படிக்கையைத் தள்ளிப்போடும் என்று சொல்லி அனுப்பினான்.There is a league between me and thee, as there was between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
4பெனாதாத் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, தனக்கு உண்டான சேனாபதிகளை இஸ்ரவேலின் பட்டணங்களுக்கு விரோதமாக அனுப்பினான்; அவர்கள் ஈயோனையும், தாணையும், ஆபேல்மாயீமையும், நப்தலி பட்டணங்களின் எல்லாப் பண்டகசாலைகளையும் முறிய அடித்தார்கள்.And Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelmaim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.
5இதைப் பாஷா கேட்டபோது, ராமாவைக் கட்டுகிறதை நிறுத்தி, தன் வேலையைவிட்டு ஒழிந்தான்.And it came to pass, when Baasha heard it, that he left off building of Ramah, and let his work cease.
6அப்பொழுது ராஜாவாகிய ஆசா யூதா அனைத்தையுங் கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோய், பாஷா கட்டின ராமாவின் கற்களையும் அதின் மரங்களையும் எடுத்துவந்து, அவைகளால் கேபாவையும் மிஸ்பாவையும் கட்டினான்.Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.
7அக்காலத்திலே ஞானதிருஷ்டிக்காரனாகிய அனானி யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவினிடத்தில் வந்து, அவனை நோக்கி: நீர் உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைச் சார்ந்துகொள்ளாமல், சீரியாவின் ராஜாவைச் சார்ந்துகொண்டபடியினால், சீரியா ராஜாவின் இராணுவம் உமது கைக்குத் தப்பிப்போயிற்று.And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.
8மிகவும் ஏராளமான இரதங்களும் குதிரைவீரருமுள்ள எத்தியோப்பியரும் லுூபியரும் மகா சேனையாயிருந்தார்களல்லவா? நீர் கர்த்தரைச் சார்ந்துகொண்டபோதோவெனில், அவர்களை உமது கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தாரே.Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.
9தம்மைப்பற்றி உத்தம இருதயத்தோடிருக்கிறவர்களுக்குத் தம்முடைய வல்லமையை விளங்கப்பண்ணும்படி, கர்த்தருடைய கண்கள் பூமியெங்கும் உலாவிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது; இந்த விஷயத்தில் புத்தியில்லாதவராயிருந்தீர்; ஆகையால் இதுமுதற்கொண்டு உமக்கு யுத்தங்கள் நேரிடும் என்றான்.For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
10அதினிமித்தம் ஆசா ஞானதிருஷ்டிக்காரன்மேல் சினந்து கடுங்கோபங்கொண்டு அவனைக் காவலறையிலே வைத்தான்; இதல்லாமலும் அக்காலத்தில் ஜனங்களுக்குள் சிலரைக் கொடூரமாய் நடப்பித்தான்.Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.
11ஆசாவின் ஆதியோடந்தமான நடபடிகளெல்லாம் யூதாவையும் இஸ்ரவேலையும் சேர்ந்த ராஜாக்களின் புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது.And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
12ஆசா அரசாண்ட முப்பத்தொன்பதாம் வருஷத்திலே தன் கால்களில் வியாதிகண்டு, அவன் நோவு மிகவும் உக்கிரமாயிருந்தது; அவன் தன் வியாதியிலும் கர்த்தரை அல்ல, பரிகாரிகளையே தேடினான்.And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.
13ஆசா தான் அரசாண்ட நாற்பத்தோராம் வருஷத்தில் மரித்து, தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்தான்.And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.
14தைலக்காரரால் செய்யப்பட்ட கந்தவர்க்கங்களினாலும் பரிமளங்களினாலும் நிறைந்த ஒரு மெத்தையின்மேல் அவனை வளர்த்தி, அவனுக்காக வெகு திரளான கந்தவர்க்கங்களைக் கொளுத்தின பின்பு, அவன் தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் தனக்கு வெட்டிவைத்திருந்த அவனுடைய கல்லறையிலே, அவனை அடக்கம்பண்ணினார்கள்.And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odorous and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries' art: and they made a very great burning for him.
1Aasaa arasaannda muppaththaaraam varushaththilae, isravaelin raajaavaakiya paashaa yoothaavukku virothamaay vanthu, oruvarum yoothaavin raajaavaakiya aasaavinidaththil pokkum varaththumaayiraathatikku raamaavaik kattinaan.In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
2Appoluthu aasaa karththarutaiya aalayaththilum raajaavin aramanaiyilumulla pokkishangalilulla velliyum ponnum eduththu, thamaskuvil vaasampannnukira penaathaath ennum seeriyaavin raajaavinidaththukku anuppi:Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king's house, and sent to Benhadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,
3Enakkum umakkum, en thakappanukkum ummutaiya thakappanukkum udanpatikkai unntae; itho, velliyum ponnum umakku anuppinaen; isravaelin raajaavaakiya paashaa ennaivittuvilakippokumpatikku neer vanthu, avanodu seytha udanpatikkaiyaith thallippodum entu solli anuppinaan.There is a league between me and thee, as there was between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
4Penaathaath raajaavaakiya aasaavukkuch sevikoduththu, thanakku unndaana senaapathikalai isravaelin pattanangalukku virothamaaka anuppinaan; avarkal eeyonaiyum, thaannaiyum, aapaelmaayeemaiyum, napthali pattanangalin ellaap panndakasaalaikalaiyum muriya atiththaarkal.And Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelmaim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.
5Ithaip paashaa kaettapothu, raamaavaik kattukirathai niraுththi, than vaelaiyaivittu olinthaan.And it came to pass, when Baasha heard it, that he left off building of Ramah, and let his work cease.
6Appoluthu raajaavaakiya aasaa yoothaa anaiththaiyung koottikkonndupoy, paashaa kattina raamaavin karkalaiyum athin marangalaiyum eduththuvanthu, avaikalaal kaepaavaiyum mispaavaiyum kattinaan.Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.
7Akkaalaththilae njaanathirushtikkaaranaakiya anaani yoothaavin raajaavaakiya aasaavinidaththil vanthu, avanai Nnokki: neer ummutaiya thaevanaakiya karththaraich saarnthukollaamal, seeriyaavin raajaavaich saarnthukonndapatiyinaal, seeriyaa raajaavin iraanuvam umathu kaikkuth thappippoyittaு.And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.
8Mikavum aeraalamaana irathangalum kuthiraiveerarumulla eththiyoppiyarum luூpiyarum makaa senaiyaayirunthaarkalallavaa? And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.
11Aasaavin aathiyodanthamaana nadapatikalellaam yoothaavaiyum isravaelaiyum serntha raajaakkalin pusthakaththil eluthiyirukkirathu.And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
12Aasaa arasaannda muppaththonpathaam varushaththilae than kaalkalil viyaathikanndu, avan Nnovu mikavum ukkiramaayirunthathu; avan than viyaathiyilum karththarai alla, parikaarikalaiyae thaetinaan.And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.
13Aasaa thaan arasaannda naarpaththoraam varushaththil mariththu, than pithaakkalotae niththiraiyatainthaan.And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.
14Thailakkaararaal seyyappatta kanthavarkkangalinaalum parimalangalinaalum niraintha oru meththaiyinmael avanai valarththi, avanukkaaka veku thiralaana kanthavarkkangalaik koluththina pinpu, avan thaaveethin nakaraththil thanakku vettivaiththiruntha avanutaiya kallaraiyilae, avanai adakkampannnninaarkal.And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odorous and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries' art: and they made a very great burning for him.
