ஒருவன் நினையாமல் வில்லை நாணேற்றி எய்தான், அது இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவினுடைய கவசத்தின் சந்துக்கிடையிலே பட்டது; அப்பொழுது அவன் தன் சாரதியைப் பார்த்து, நீ திருப்பி என்னை இராணுவத்துக்கப்பால் கொண்டுபோ, எனக்குக் காயம்பட்டது என்றான்.

ஒருவன் தற்செயலாக வில்லை நாணேற்றி எய்தான், அது இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவினுடைய கவசத்தின் சந்துக்கிடையிலேபட்டது; அப்பொழுது அவன் தன் இரத ஓட்டியைப் பார்த்து: நீ திருப்பி என்னை இராணுவத்திற்கு வெளியே கொண்டுபோ, எனக்குக் காயம்பட்டது என்றான்.

ஆனால் ஒரு வீரன் எந்தவித குறியும் இல்லாமல் ஒரு அம்பை விட்டான், அது இஸ்ரவேல் அரசனான ஆகாபின் மீது பாய்ந்தது. அது ஆகாபின் உடலில் கவசம் இல்லாத பகுதியின் மேல் பாய்ந்தது. ஆகாப் தன் இரதவோட்டியிடம், “இரதத்தைத் திருப்பிக் கொள். நான் காயப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன். என்னை போர்களத்துக்கு வெளியே கொண்டு செல்!” என்றான்.
