இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா தன் வஸ்திரங்களைக் கிழித்துக்கொண்ட செய்தியை தேவனுடைய மனுஷனாகிய எலிசா கேட்டபோது, அவன்: நீர் உம்முடைய வஸ்திரங்களைக் கிழித்துக்கொள்வானேன்? அவன் என்னிடத்தில் வந்து, இஸ்ரவேலிலே தீர்க்கதரிசி உண்டென்பதை அறிந்துகொள்ளட்டும் என்று ராஜாவுக்குச் சொல்லியனுப்பினான்.

அரசன் வருத்தப்பட்டுத் தன் ஆடைகளைக் கிழித்துக்கொண்டதைப்பற்றி தேவமனிதனான எலிசா அறிந்தான். உடனே தன் தூதுவனை அனுப்பி, “ஏன் உங்கள் ஆடைகளைக் கிழித்துகொண்டீர்கள், நாகமானை என்னிடம் அனுப்புங்கள். அப்போதுதான் அவர்கள் இஸ்ரவேலில் ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசி இருக்கிறார் என்பதைத் தெரிந்துக்கொள்வார்கள்!” என்று தெரிவித்தான்.

Isravaelin raajaa than vasthirangalaik kiliththukkonnda seythiyai thaevanutaiya manushanaakiya elisaa kaettapothu, avan: neer ummutaiya vasthirangalaik kiliththukkolvaanaen? Avan ennidaththil vanthu, isravaelilae theerkkatharisi unndenpathai arinthukollattum entu raajaavukkuch solliyanuppinaan.
