And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah.

And it came to pass וַיְהִ֣י hāyâ ha-YA
in the morning, בַבֹּ֔קֶר bōqer boh-KER
wrote וַיִּכְתֹּ֥ב kātab ka-TAHV
that David דָּוִ֛ד dāwid da-VEED
a letter סֵ֖פֶר sēper say-FER
to אֶל ʾēl ale
Joab, יוֹאָ֑ב yôʾāb yoh-AV
and sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֖ח šālaḥ sha-LAHK
