1 தாவீது மலையுச்சியிலிருந்து சற்றப்புறம் நடந்துபோனபோது, இதோ, மேவிபோசேத்தின் காரியக்காரனாகிய சீபா, பொதிகளைச் சுமக்கிற இரண்டு கழுதைகளை ஓட்டிக்கொண்டுவந்து, அவனைச் சந்தித்தான்; அவைகளில் இருநூறு அப்பங்களும், வற்றலான நூறு திராட்சப்பழக்குலைகளும், வசந்தகாலத்துப் பலனான நூறு குலைகளும், ஒரு துருத்தி திராட்சரசமும் இருந்தது. And when David was a little past the top of the hill, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred loaves of bread, and an hundred bunches of raisins, and an hundred of summer fruits, and a bottle of wine.

2 ராஜா சீபாவைப்பார்த்து: இவைகள் என்னத்திற்கு என்று கேட்டதற்கு, சீபா: கழுதைகள் ராஜாவின் வீட்டார் ஏறுகிறதற்கும், அப்பங்களும் பழங்களும் வாலிபர் புசிக்கிறதற்கும், திராட்சரசம் வனாந்தரத்தில் விடாய்த்துப்போனவர்கள் குடிக்கிறதற்குமே என்றான். And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The asses be for the king's household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink.

3 அப்பொழுது ராஜாவின் ஆண்டவனுடைய குமாரன் எங்கே என்று கேட்டதற்கு, சீபா ராஜாவை நோக்கி: எருசலேமில் இருக்கிறான்; இன்று இஸ்ரவேல் வீட்டார் என் தகப்பனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தை என் வசமாய்த் திரும்பப்பண்ணுவார்கள் என்றான் என்று சொன்னான். And the king said, And where is thy master's son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abideth at Jerusalem: for he said, To day shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.

4 அப்பொழுது ராஜா சீபாவை நோக்கி: மேவிபோசேத்திற்கு உண்டானதெல்லாம் உன்னுடையதாயிற்று என்றான். அதற்குச் சீபா: ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவனுடைய கண்களில் எனக்குத் தயைகிடைக்கவேண்டும் என்று நான் பணிந்து கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுகிறேன் என்றான். Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, thine are all that pertained unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly beseech thee that I may find grace in thy sight, my lord, O king.

5 தாவீதுராஜா பகூரிம்மட்டும் வந்தபோது, இதோ, சவுல் வீட்டு வம்சத்தானாயிருக்கிற கேராவின் குமாரனாகிய சீமேயி என்னும் பேருள்ள ஒரு மனுஷன் அங்கேயிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, தூஷித்துக்கொண்டே நடந்துவந்து, And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.

6 சகல ஜனங்களும், சகல பலசாலிகளும், தாவீதின் வலதுபுறமாகவும் இடதுபுறமாகவும் நடக்கையில், தாவீதின்மேலும், தாவீதுராஜாவுடைய சகல ஊழியக்காரர்மேலும் கற்களை எறிந்தான். And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.

7 சீமேயி அவனைத் தூஷித்து: இரத்தப்பிரியனே, பேலியாளின் மனுஷனே, தொலைந்துபோ, தொலைந்துபோ. And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, thou bloody man, and thou man of Belial:

8 சவுலின் ஸ்தலத்தில் ராஜாவான உன்மேல் கர்த்தர் சவுல் வீட்டாரின் இரத்தப்பழியைத் திரும்பப்பண்ணினார்; கர்த்தர் ராஜ்யபாரத்தை உன் குமாரனாகிய அப்சலோமின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; இப்போதும் இதோ, உன் அக்கிரமத்தில் அகப்பட்டாய்: நீ இரத்தப்பிரியனான மனுஷன் என்றான். The LORD hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the LORD hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a bloody man.

9 அப்பொழுது செருயாவின் குமாரன் அபிசாய் ராஜாவை நோக்கி: அந்தச் செத்தநாய் ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவனை தூஷிப்பானேன்? நான் போய் அவன் தலையை வாங்கிப்போடட்டுமே என்றான். Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray thee, and take off his head.

10 அதற்கு ராஜா: செருயாவின் குமாரரே, எனக்கும் உங்களுக்கும் என்ன? அவன் என்னைத் தூஷிக்கட்டும்: தாவீதைத் தூஷிக்கவேண்டும் என்று கர்த்தர் அவனுக்குச் சொன்னார்; ஆகையால் ஏன் இப்படிச் செய்கிறாய் என்று கேட்கத்தக்கவன் யார் என்றான். And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?

11 பின்னும் தாவீது அபிசாயையும் தன் ஊழியக்காரர் எல்லாரையும் பார்த்து: இதோ, என் கர்ப்பப்பிறப்பான என் குமாரனே என் பிராணனை வாங்கத்தேடும்போது, இந்தப் பென்யமீனன் எத்தனை அதிகமாய்ச் செய்வான், அவன் தூஷிக்கட்டும்; அப்படிச் செய்ய கர்த்தர் அவனுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறார். And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD hath bidden him.

12 ஒருவேளை கர்த்தர் என் சிறுமையைப் பார்த்து, இந்த நாளில் அவன் நிந்தித்த நிந்தனைக்குப் பதிலாக எனக்கு நன்மையைச் சரிக்கட்டுவார் என்றான். It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day.

13 அப்படியே தாவீதும் அவன் மனுஷரும் வழியே நடந்துபோனார்கள்; சீமேயியும் மலையின் பக்கத்திலே அவனுக்கு எதிராக நடந்து தூஷித்து, அவனுக்கு எதிராகக் கற்களை எறிந்து, மண்ணைத் தூற்றிக்கொண்டே வந்தான். And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill's side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust.

14 ராஜாவும் அவனோடிருந்த சகல ஜனங்களும் விடாய்த்தவர்களாய் தங்குமிடத்திலே சேர்ந்து, இளைப்பாறினார்கள். And the king, and all the people that were with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there.

15 அப்சலோமும் இஸ்ரவேல் மனுஷராகிய சகல ஜனங்களும் அவனோடேகூட அகித்தோப்பேலும் எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தார்கள். And Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him.

16 அற்கியனாகிய ஊசாய் என்னும் தாவீதின் சிநேகிதன் அப்சலோமிடத்தில் வந்தபோது, ஊசாய் அப்சலோமை நோக்கி: ராஜாவே வாழ்க, ராஜாவே வாழ்க என்றான். And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, God save the king, God save the king.

17 அப்பொழுது அப்சலோம் ஊசாயைப் பார்த்து: உன் சிநேகிதன்மேல் உனக்கு இருக்கிற தயை இதுதானோ? உன் சிநேகிதனோடே நீ போகாதேபோனது என்ன என்று கேட்டான். And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this thy kindness to thy friend? why wentest thou not with thy friend?

18 அதற்கு ஊசாய் அப்சலோமை நோக்கி அப்படி அல்ல, கர்த்தரும் இந்த ஜனங்களும் இஸ்ரவேல் மனுஷரனைவரும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளுகிறவரையே நான் சேர்ந்து அவரோடே இருப்பேன். And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide.

19 இதுவும் அல்லாமல், நான் யாரிடத்தில் சேவிப்பேன்? அவருடைய குமாரனிடத்தில் அல்லவா? உம்முடைய தகப்பனிடத்தில் எப்படி சேவித்தேனோ, அப்படியே உம்மிடத்திலும் சேவிப்பேன் என்றான். And again, whom should I serve? should I not serve in the presence of his son? as I have served in thy father's presence, so will I be in thy presence.

20 அப்சலோம் அகித்தோப்பேலைப் பார்த்து, நாங்கள் செய்யவேண்டியது இன்னதென்று ஆலோசனை சொல்லும் என்றான். Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do.

21 அப்பொழுது அகித்தோப்பேல் அப்சலோமை நோக்கி: வீட்டைக்காக்க உம்முடைய தகப்பன் பின்வைத்த அவருடைய மறுமனையாட்டிகளிடத்தில் பிரவேசியும், அப்பொழுது உம்முடைய தகப்பனுக்கு நாற்றமாய்ப்போனீர் என்பதை இஸ்ரவேலர் எல்லாரும் கேள்விப்பட்டு, உம்மோடிருக்கிற எல்லாருடைய கைகளும் பலக்கும் என்றான். And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father's concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong.

22 அப்படியே அப்சலோமுக்கு உப்பரிகையின்மேல் ஒரு கூடாரத்தைப் போட்டார்கள்: அங்கே அப்சலோம் சகல இஸ்ரவேலரின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக, தன் தகப்பனுடைய மறுமனையாட்டிகளிடத்தில் பிரவேசித்தான். So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.

23 அந்நாட்களில் அகித்தோப்பேல் சொல்லும் ஆலோசனையெல்லாம் தேவனுடைய வாக்கைப்போல இருந்தது, அப்படியே அகித்தோப்பேலின் ஆலோசனையெல்லாம் தாவீதுக்கும் இருந்தது, அப்சலோமுக்கும் அப்படியே இருந்தது. And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counseled in those days, was as if a man had inquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.

1 David malaiyuchchiyilirunthu sattappuram nadanthuponapothu, itho, maeviposeththin kaariyakkaaranaakiya seepaa, pothikalaich sumakkira iranndu kaluthaikalai ottikkonnduvanthu, avanaich santhiththaan; avaikalil irunooraு appangalum, vattalaana nooraு thiraatchappalakkulaikalum, vasanthakaalaththup palanaana nooraு kulaikalum, oru thuruththi thiraatcharasamum irunthathu. 2 Raajaa seepaavaippaarththu: ivaikal ennaththirku entu kaettatharku, seepaa: kaluthaikal raajaavin veettar aeraுkiratharkum, appangalum palangalum vaalipar pusikkiratharkum, thiraatcharasam vanaantharaththil vidaayththupponavarkal kutikkiratharkumae entan. And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The asses be for the king's household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink.

3 Appoluthu raajaavin aanndavanutaiya kumaaran engae entu kaettatharku, seepaa raajaavai Nnokki: erusalaemil irukkiraan; intu Israel veettar en thakappanutaiya raajyaththai en vasamaayth thirumpappannnuvaarkal entan entu sonnaan. And the king said, And where is thy master's son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abideth at Jerusalem: for he said, To day shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.

4 Appoluthu raajaa seepaavai Nnokki: maeviposeththirku unndaanathellaam unnutaiyathaayittaு entan. Atharkuch seepaa: raajaavaakiya en aanndavanutaiya kannkalil enakkuth thayaikitaikkavaenndum entu naan panninthu kaettukkollukiraேn entan. Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, thine are all that pertained unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly beseech thee that I may find grace in thy sight, my lord, O king.

5 Davidraajaa pakoorimmattum vanthapothu, itho, savul veettu vamsaththaanaayirukkira kaeraavin kumaaranaakiya seemaeyi ennum paerulla oru manushan angaeyirunthu purappattu, thooshiththukkonntae nadanthuvanthu, And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.

6 Sakala janangalum, sakala palasaalikalum, thaaveethin valathupuramaakavum idathupuramaakavum nadakkaiyil, thaaveethinmaelum, Davidraajaavutaiya sakala ooliyakkaararmaelum karkalai erinthaan. And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.

7 Seemaeyi avanaith thooshiththu: iraththappiriyanae, paeliyaalin manushanae, tholainthupo, tholainthupo. And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, thou bloody man, and thou man of Belial:

8 Savulin sthalaththil raajaavaana unmael Karththar savul veettarin iraththappaliyaith thirumpappannnninaar; Karththar raajyapaaraththai un kumaaranaakiya apsalomin kaiyil oppukkoduththaar; ippothum itho, un akkiramaththil akappattay: nee iraththappiriyanaana manushan entan. The LORD hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the LORD hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a bloody man.

9 Appoluthu seruyaavin kumaaran apisaay raajaavai Nnokki: anthach seththanaay raajaavaakiya en aanndavanai thooshippaanaen? Naan poy avan thalaiyai vaangippodattumae entan. Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray thee, and take off his head.

10 Atharku raajaa: seruyaavin kumaararae, enakkum ungalukkum enna? Avan ennaith thooshikkattum: thaaveethaith thooshikkavaenndum entu Karththar avanukkuch sonnaar; aakaiyaal aen ippatich seykiraay entu kaetkaththakkavan yaar entan. And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?

11 Pinnum David apisaayaiyum than ooliyakkaarar ellaaraiyum paarththu: itho, en karppappirappaana en kumaaranae en piraananai vaangaththaedumpothu, inthap penyameenan eththanai athikamaaych seyvaan, avan thooshikkattum; appatich seyya Karththar avanukkuk kattalaiyittirukkiraar. And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD hath bidden him.

12 Oruvaelai Karththar en siraுmaiyaip paarththu, intha naalil avan ninthiththa ninthanaikkup pathilaaka enakku nanmaiyaich sarikkattuvaar entan. It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day.

13 Appatiyae Davidm avan manusharum valiyae nadanthuponaarkal; seemaeyiyum malaiyin pakkaththilae avanukku ethiraaka nadanthu thooshiththu, avanukku ethiraakak karkalai erinthu, mannnnaith thoottikkonntae vanthaan. And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill's side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust.

14 Raajaavum avanotiruntha sakala janangalum vidaayththavarkalaay thangumidaththilae sernthu, ilaippaarinaarkal. And the king, and all the people that were with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there.

15 Apsalomum Israel manusharaakiya sakala janangalum avanotaekooda akiththoppaelum erusalaemukku vanthaarkal. And Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him.

16 Arkiyanaakiya oosaay ennum thaaveethin sinaekithan apsalomidaththil vanthapothu, oosaay apsalomai Nnokki: raajaavae vaalka, raajaavae vaalka entan. And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, God save the king, God save the king.

17 Appoluthu apsalom oosaayaip paarththu: un sinaekithanmael unakku irukkira thayai ithuthaano? Un sinaekithanotae nee pokaathaeponathu enna entu kaettan. And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this thy kindness to thy friend? why wentest thou not with thy friend?

18 Atharku oosaay apsalomai Nnokki appati alla, karththarum intha janangalum Israel manusharanaivarum therinthukollukiravaraiyae naan sernthu avarotae iruppaen. And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide.

19 Ithuvum allaamal, naan yaaridaththil sevippaen? Avarutaiya kumaaranidaththil allavaa? Ummutaiya thakappanidaththil eppati seviththaeno, appatiyae ummidaththilum sevippaen entan. And again, whom should I serve? should I not serve in the presence of his son? as I have served in thy father's presence, so will I be in thy presence.

20 Apsalom akiththoppaelaip paarththu, naangal seyyavaenntiyathu innathentu aalosanai sollum entan. Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do.

21 Appoluthu akiththoppael apsalomai Nnokki: veettaைkkaakka ummutaiya thakappan pinvaiththa avarutaiya maraுmanaiyaattikalidaththil piravaesiyum, appoluthu ummutaiya thakappanukku naattamaaypponeer enpathai isravaelar ellaarum kaelvippattu, ummotirukkira ellaarutaiya kaikalum palakkum entan. And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father's concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong.

22 Appatiyae apsalomukku upparikaiyinmael oru koodaaraththaip pottarkal: angae apsalom sakala isravaelarin kannkalukku munpaaka, than thakappanutaiya maraுmanaiyaattikalidaththil piravaesiththaan. So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.

23 Annaatkalil akiththoppael sollum aalosanaiyellaam thaevanutaiya vaakkaippola irunthathu, appatiyae akiththoppaelin aalosanaiyellaam Davidkkum irunthathu, apsalomukkum appatiyae irunthathu. And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counseled in those days, was as if a man had inquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.
