மற்ற ஆட்டுக்குட்டியை மாலையிலே பலியிட்டு, காலையிலே செலுத்தின போஜனபலிக்கும் பானபலிக்கும் ஒத்தபிரகாரம் அதைக் கர்த்தருக்குச் சுகந்த வாசனையான தகனபலியாகப் படைக்கக்கடவாய்.

பத்சேபாள் அதோனியாவுக்காக ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோனிடம் பேசும்படி போனாள்; அப்பொழுது ராஜா எழுந்து, அவளுக்கு எதிரேவந்து அவளை வணங்கி, தன்னுடைய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் உட்கார்ந்து, ராஜாவின் தாயார் தன்னுடைய வலதுபுறமாக உட்கார அவளுக்கு ஒரு இருக்கையை வைத்தான்.

எனவே பத்சேபாள் அரசன் சாலொமோனிடம் பேசுவதற்காகப் போனாள். சாலொமோன் அவளைப் பார்த்ததும் எழுந்து நின்று வரவேற்றான். அவன் குனிந்து வணங்கி பிறகு உட்கார்ந்தான். அவளுக்கு இன்னொரு சிங்காசனம் கொண்டுவரும்படி வேலைக்காரர்களிடம் கூறினான். அவனது வலது பக்கத்தில் அவள் உட்கார்ந்திருந்தாள்.

பத்சேபா அதோனியாவுக்காக அரசர் சாலமோனிடம் பரிந்து பேசும் படி போனார். அப்போது அரசர் எழுந்து அவரை எதிர்கொண்டு வந்து வணங்கியபின், தம் அரியணையில் அமர்ந்து கொண்டார். அரசரின் தாய்க்கு அவரது வலப்புறத்தில் ஓர் இருக்கை போடப்பட்டது. அவரும் அதில் அமர்ந்தார்.

Bathsheba therefore went unto king Solomon, to speak unto him for Adonijah. And the king rose up to meet her, and bowed himself unto her, and sat down on his throne, and caused a seat to be set for the king’s mother; and she sat on his right hand.
