ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் என் நியாயங்களின்படி செய்யாமல், என் கட்டளைகளை வெறுத்து, என் ஓய்வுநாட்களை பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்கினபடியாலும், அவர்களுடைய கண்கள் அவர்கள் பிதாக்களின் நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களின்மேல் நோக்கமாயிருந்தபடியாலும்,

சர்வாங்க தகனபலியிட்டுத் தீர்ந்தபோது, யெகூ வீரர்களையும் அவர்களின் தலைவர்களையும் நோக்கி: உள்ளேபோய், அவர்களை வெட்டிப்போடுங்கள்; ஒருவரையும் வெளியே விடவேண்டாம் என்றான்; அப்படியே பட்டயக்கருக்கினால் வீரர்களும் அவர்களின் தலைவர்களும் அவர்களை வெட்டி எறிந்துபோட்டு, பாகாலின் கோவிலைச் சேர்ந்த இடமெங்கும் போய்,

பிறகு யெகூ விரைவாகத் தகனபலி கொடுத்தபின், தனது அதிகாரிகளிடமும் தளபதிகளிடமும், “உள்ளே போய் அனைவரையும் கொல்லுங்கள் உயிரோடு எவனையும் வெளியே வரவிடாதீர்கள்” என்றான். எனவே தளபதிகள் தம் மெலிந்த வாள்களால் பாகாலின் பக்தர்களைக் கொன்று போட்டு பிணங்களை வெளியே எறிந்தனர். பின் ஆலயத்தின் உள்ளறைக்குள் சென்றனர்.
