பின்னும் மனுபுத்திரனே, நான் எந்த நாளிலே அவர்களுடைய பலத்தையும், அவர்களுடைய அலங்காரத்தின் மகிழ்ச்சியையும், அவர்களுடைய கண்களின் விருப்பத்தையும், அவர்களுடைய ஆத்துமாவின் விசேஷித்த வாஞ்சையையும், அவர்களுடைய குமாரரையும், அவர்களுடைய குமாரத்திகளையும் அவர்களைவிட்டு எடுத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறேனோ,

“மனுபுத்திரனே, நான் ஜனங்களிடமிருந்து அப்பாதுகாப்பான இடத்தை (எருசலேம்) எடுத்துக்கொள்வேன். அந்த அழகிய இடம் அவர்களை மகிழ்ச்சியடையச் செய்கிறது. அவர்கள் அந்த இடத்தைப் பார்க்க அதிகமாக விரும்புகின்றனர். அவர்கள் உண்மையில் அந்த இடத்தை நேசிக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால் அந்த நேரத்தில் நான் அந்த நகரத்தையும் அவர்களது பிள்ளைகளையும் எடுத்துக்கொள்வேன். தப்பிப் பிழைத்த ஒருவன் எருசலேம் பற்றிய கெட்ட செய்தியைச் சொல்வதற்கு வருவான்.
