1 Corinthians 11:25
খাওয়া শেষ হলে, সেইভাবে তিনি পানপাত্র তুলে নিয়ে বললেন, ‘এই পানপাত্র হল আমার রক্তে স্থাপিত নতুন চুক্তি৷ তোমরা যতবার এই পানপাত্র থেকে পান করবে আমার স্মরণে তো করো৷’

2 Corinthians 3:6
তিনিই আমাদের নতুন চুক্তির সেবক করেছেন৷ এই নতুন চুক্তি কোন লিখিত বিধি-ব্যবস্থা নয় কিন্তু আত্মিক ব্যবস্থা, কারণ লিখিত য়ে বিধি-ব্যবস্থা তা মৃত্যু নিয়ে আসে কিন্তু আত্মা জীবন দান করে৷

শান্তির ঈশ্বর যিনি মৃতদের মধ্য থেকে আমাদের প্রভু যীশুকে ফিরিয়ে এনেছেন, রক্তের মাধ্যমে শাশ্বত চুক্তি অনুযাযী যিনি মহান মেষপালক, প্রার্থনা করি সেই ঈশ্বর য়েন তোমাদের প্রযোজনীয় সব উত্তম বিষয়গুলি দেন যাতে তোমরা তাঁর ইচ্ছা পালন করতে পার৷

আশীর্বাদের পানপাত্র, যা নিয়ে আমরা ধন্যবাদ দিই তা কি খ্রীষ্টের রক্তের সহভাগীতা নয়? য়ে রুটি ভেঙে টুকরো টুকরো করে খাওয়া হয়, তা কি খ্রীষ্টের দেহের সহভাগীতা নয়?

তাই য়ে কেউ অয়োগ্যভাবে প্রভুর এই রুটি খায় ও পানপাত্রে পান করে, সে প্রভুর দেহের ও রক্তের জন্য দাযী হবে৷

1 তাদের মন কঠোর হয়ে গিয়েছিল, কারণ যখন শাস্ত্র পড়া হয় তখন মনে হয় আজও তাদের সেই আবরণ রয়েই গেছে৷ সেই আবরণ এখনও সরে নি, একমাত্র খ্রীষ্টের মাধ্যমেই সেই আবরণ সরিয়ে দেওয়া সন্ভব৷
