এই বলে য়োথম বের নগরে পালিয়ে গেল| সেখানে সে থাকতে লাগল, কারণ সে তার ভাই অবীমেলককে ভয় করত|

| and dwelt | וַיֵּ֣שֶׁב | wayyēšeb | va-YAY-shev |
| there, | שָׁ֔ם | šām | shahm |
| fear for | מִפְּנֵ֖י | mippĕnê | mee-peh-NAY |
| of Abimelech | אֲבִימֶ֥לֶךְ | ʾăbîmelek | uh-vee-MEH-lek |
