Psalm 142
1 আমি সাহায্যের জন্য প্রভুকে ডাকবো| আমি প্রভুর কাছে প্রার্থনা করবো|
2 আমি প্রভুকে আমার সব সংকটের কথা বলবো| আমি প্রভুকে আমার অসুবিধার কথা বলবো|
3 আমার শত্রুরা আমার জন্য একটা ফাঁদ পেতেছে| আমি সমর্পণ করতে প্রস্তুত| কিন্তু প্রভু জানেন আমার মধ্যে কি হচ্ছে|
4 আমি চারদিকে দেখি, কিন্তু আমি আমার কোন বন্ধু দেখি না| আমার পালানোর কোন জায়গা নেই| কেউ আমাকে রক্ষা করার চেষ্টা করে না|
5 তাই আমি প্রভুর কাছে উচ্চস্বরে সাহায্য প্রার্থনা করেছিলাম| প্রভু, আপনিই আমার নিরাপদ আশ্রয়স্থল| প্রভু আপনিই আমায় বাঁচতে দিতে পারেন|
6 হে প্রভু, আমার প্রার্থনা শুনুন কারণ আমি অসহায়| যারা আমায় তাড়া করে তাদের হাত থেকে আমায় রক্ষা করুন| ওই লোকগুলো আমার পক্ষে প্রচণ্ড শক্তিশালী|
7 আমাকে এই ফাঁদ এড়িয়ে য়েতে সাহায্য করুন যাতে আমি আপনার নামের প্রশংসা করতে পারি| এবং ভালো লোকরা এসে আমার সঙ্গে উদয়াপন করবে, কারণ আপনি আমায় প্রযত্নে রেখেছিলেন|

2 I cried unto the Lord with my voice; with my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication.
3 I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.
4 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.
5 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.
6 I cried unto thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.
7 Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.
8 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.
