Psalm 28
1 হে প্রভু, আপনি আমার শিলা| আপনার সাহায্যের জন্য আমি আপনাকে ডাকছি| আমার প্রার্থনা থেকে কান ফিরিয়ে নেবেন না| যদি আপনি আমার ডাকে সাড়া না দেন, লোকে ভাববে আমি কবরের মৃত ব্যক্তির চেয়ে উন্নত কিছু নই|
2 প্রভু, আমার দু হাত তুলে আপনার পবিত্রতম স্থানে আমি প্রার্থনা জানাই| যখন আমি আপনাকে ডাকি আমার ডাক শুনুন| আমার প্রতি কৃপা প্রদর্শন করুন|
3 প্রভু, আমাকে খারাপ লোকদের একজন ভাববেন না| সেই সব লোক “সলোম” শব্দের দ্বারা তাদের প্রতিবেশীদের অভিনন্দন করে| কিন্তু মনে মনে তারা প্রতিবেশীদের বিরুদ্ধে মন্দ ফন্দি আঁটে|
4 প্রভু, ঐসব লোক অন্যান্য লোকদের প্রতি মন্দ আচরণ করে| অতএব তাদের যাতে খারাপ হয় তাই করুন| য়েমন ওরা অন্যদের করেছিল|
5 মন্দ লোকরা কখনই প্রভুর ভালো কাজগুলো বুঝতে পারে না| প্রভু য়ে সব ভালো কাজ করেন তা তারা দেখে না| না তারা বুঝতে চায় না, তারা শুধু ধ্বংস করতে চায়|
6 প্রভুর প্রশংসা কর! তিনি আমার প্রতি করুণা করার প্রার্থনা শুনেছেন!
7 প্রভুই আমার শক্তি, তিনিই আমার ঢাল| আমি তাঁকে বিশ্বাস করেছি| তিনি আমায় সাহায্য করেছেন| আমি প্রচণ্ড খুশী! এবং তাই আমি তাঁর প্রশংসা করে গান গাইছি|
8 প্রভু যাকে পছন্দ করেন তাঁকে রক্ষা করেন| প্রভুই তাঁর শক্তি!
9 ঈশ্বর আপনার লোকদের রক্ষা করেন| আপনার অধিকারভুক্ত যারা তাদের আশীর্বাদ করুন| তাদের আপনি চিরকালের জন্য নেতৃত্ব দিন এবং তাদের সম্মান দিন!
1 A Psalm of David.
2 Unto thee will I cry, O Lord my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.
3 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.
4 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.
5 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.
6 Because they regard not the works of the Lord, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.
7 Blessed be the Lord, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.
8 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
9 The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.
10 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
