Psalm 82
1 ঈশ্বর দেবতাদের মণ্ডলীতেদাঁড়ান| দেবতাদের সেই সভায তিনিই ছিলেন বিচারক|
2 ঈশ্বর বলেন, “কতদিন তোমরা অন্যায়ভাবে লোকের বিচার করবে? আর কতদিন তোমরা দুষ্ট লোকদের শাস্তি না দিয়ে ছেড়ে দেবে?”
3 “দরিদ্র লোকদের এবং অনাথদের বিচার কর| ওই সব দরিদ্র লোকদের অধিকারকে রক্ষা কর|
4 ওই সব অসহায় ও দরিদ্রদের সাহায্য কর| দুষ্ট লোকদের থেকে ওদের রক্ষা কর|
5 “কে ঘটে চলেছে তা ওরা জানে না| ওরা বোঝে না! ওরা য়ে কি করছে তা ওরা জানে না, ওদের চারপাশে ওদের পৃথিবী ভেঙে পড়েছে!”
6 আমি ঈশ্বর বলছি, “তোমরা দেবতা| তোমরা পরাত্পরের সন্তানগণ|
7 য়েমন ভাবে সাধারণ মানুষ অবশ্যই মরে, তোমরাও সেই ভাবেই মারা যাবে|”
8 ঈশ্বর, আপনি উঠুন! আপনিই বিচারক হন! ঈশ্বর, সব জাতির ওপরে আপনিই নেতা হন!
1 A Psalm of Asaph.
2 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
3 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
4 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
5 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
6 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
7 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
8 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
9 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
