ஆரோனும் அவன் குமாரரும் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிபீடத்தின்மேல் பலியிட்டுத் தூபங்காட்டும் பீடத்தின்மேல் தூபங்காட்டி, மகா பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தின் எல்லாவேலைக்கும், தேவனுடைய தாசனாகிய மோசே கற்பித்தபடியெல்லாம் இஸ்ரவேலுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தியுண்டாக்குகிறதற்கும் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்.

ஆனால் ஆரோனின் சந்ததியினர் மட்டுமே நறு மணப் பொருட்களை தகனபலிக்காக பலிபீடத்தில் எரிக்க அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டனர். இதனை ஆரோனின் சந்ததியினர் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்திலுள்ள மகா பரிசுத்தமான இடத்தில் செய்துவந்தனர். அவர்கள் இஸ்ரவேலரைச் சுத்தமாக்கும் சடங்குகளையும் செய்துவந்தனர். மோசே கட்டளையிட்ட சட்டங்களையும், அவர்கள் பின்பற்றி வந்தனர். மோசே தேவனுடைய ஊழியன்.
