நமக்காகத்தான் இதைச் சொல்லுகிறாரோ? உழுகிறவன் நம்பிக்கையோடே உழவும், போரடிக்கிறவன் தான் நம்புகிறதில் பங்கடைவேன் என்கிற நம்பிக்கையோடே போரடிக்கவும் வேண்டியதே, ஆகையால், அது நமக்காகவே எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

Namakkaakaththaan ithaich sollukiraaro? Ulukiravan nampikkaiyotae ulavum, poratikkiravan thaan nampukirathil pangataivaen enkira nampikkaiyotae poratikkavum vaenntiyathae, aakaiyaal, athu namakkaakavae eluthiyirukkirathu.

Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.

American Standard Version (ASV)
or saith he it assuredly for our sake? Yea, for our sake it was written: because he that ploweth ought to plow in hope, and he that thresheth, `to thresh' in hope of partaking.
