அந்த பலிபீடத்தை நோக்கி: பலிபீடமே பலிபீடமே, இதோ, தாவீதின் வம்சத்தில் யோசியா என்னும் பேருள்ள ஒரு குமாரன் பிறப்பான்; அவன் உன்மேல் தூபங்காட்டுகிற மேடைகளின் ஆசாரியர்களை உன்மேல் பலியிடுவான்; மனுஷரின் எலும்புகளும் உன்மேல் சுட்டெரிக்கப்படும் என்பதைக் கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறார் என்று கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கூறி;

பலிபீடத்திற்கு எதிராகப் பேசுமாறு கர்த்தர் அந்த தேவமனிதனுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார். அவனும், “பலிபீடமே, கர்த்தர் உன்னிடம் கூறுகிறார் ‘தாவீதின் குடும்பத்தில் யோசியா என்பவன் இருக்கிறான். இந்த ஆசாரியர்களெல்லாம் இப்போது பொய்த் தெய்வங்களை தொழுது வருகின்றனர். எனவே பலிபீடமே, யோசியா என்பவன் உன்மேல் தூபம் காட்டுகிற மேடையின் ஆசாரியர்களை உன்மேல் பலியிடுவான். அந்த ஆசாரியர்கள் நறுமணப் பொருட்களைப் போட்டு எரிக்கின்றனர். ஆனால் யோசியாவோ மனித எலும்புகளைப் போட்டு எரிப்பான். பிறகு மீண்டும் உன்னைப் பயன்படுத்த முடியாது!’” என்றான்.

ஆண்டவரின் வாக்கிற்கு இணங்க அவர் அப்பீடத்திற்கு எதிராகக் குரலெழுப்பி, “பலிபீடமே! பலிபீடமே! இதோ, தாவீதின் குடும்பத்தில் யோசியா என்ற பெயருள்ள ஒரு மகன் பிறப்பான்; அவன் உன்மீது தூபத்தை எரிக்கும் தொழுகைமேடுகளின் குருக்களை உன்மீதே பலியிடுவான்! மனிதரின் எலும்புகளை உன்மீது சுட்டெரிப்பான், என்கிறார் ஆண்டவர்” என்றார்.
