1 அப்பொழுது தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய எலிசா தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் புத்திரரில் ஒருவனை அழைத்து: நீ இடைக்கட்டிக் கொண்டு, இந்தத் தைலக்குப்பியை உன் கையில் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்திற்குப் போ. And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead:

2 நீ அங்கே சேர்ந்தபோது, நிம்சியின் மகனான யோசபாத்தின் குமாரன் யெகூ எங்கே இருக்கிறான் என்று பார்த்து, அங்கே உட்பிரவேசித்து, அவனைத் தன் சகோதரரின் நடுவிலிருந்து எழுந்திருக்கப்பண்ணி, அவனை உள்ளான ஒரு அறையிலே அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber;

4 அப்படியே தீர்க்கதரிசியின் ஊழியக்காரனாகிய அந்த வாலிபன் கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்திற்குப் போனான். So the young man, even the young man the prophet, went to Ramothgilead.

5 அவன் உட்பிரவேசித்தபோது, சேனாபதிகள் அங்கே உட்கார்ந்திருந்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவன்: சேனாபதியே, உமக்குச் சொல்லவேண்டிய ஒரு வார்த்தை உண்டு என்றான். அதற்கு யெகூ: எங்களெல்லாருக்குள்ளும் யாருக்கு என்று கேட்டதற்கு, அவன், சேனாபதியாகிய உமக்குத்தான் என்றான். And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To thee, O captain.

6 அவன் எழுந்து, அறைவீட்டிற்குள் பிரவேசித்தான்; அவன் அந்தத் தைலத்தை அவன் தலையின்மேல் வார்த்து, அவனை நோக்கி: இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், உன்னைக் கர்த்தருடைய ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினேன். And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.

7 நான் என் ஊழியக்காரராகிய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் இரத்தப்பழியையும், கர்த்தருடைய சகல ஊழியக்காரரின் இரத்தப் பழியையும், யேசபேலின் கையிலே வாங்கும்படிக்கு நீ உன் ஆண்டவனாகிய ஆகாபின் குடும்பத்தை அழித்துவிடக்கடவாய். And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.

8 ஆகாபின் குடும்பமெல்லாம் அழியும் படிக்கு, நான் ஆகாபுக்குச் சுவரில் நீர் விடும் ஒரு நாய் முதலாய் இராதபடிக்கு, இஸ்ரவேலிலே அவனுடையவர்களில் அடைப்பட்டவனையும் விடுபட்டவனையும் கருவறுத்து, For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel:

9 ஆகாபின் குடும்பத்தை நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் குடும்பத்துக்கும், அகியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பாஷாவின் குடும்பத்துக்கு சரியாக்குவேன். And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah:

10 யேசபேலை யெஸ்ரயேலின் நிலத்திலே நாய்கள் தின்றுவிடும்; அவளை அடக்கம்பண்ணுகிறவன் இல்லையென்கிறார் என்று சொல்லி, கதவைத் திறந்து ஓடிப் போனான். And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.

11 யெகூ தன் ஆண்டவனுடைய ஊழியக்காரரிடத்துக்குத் திரும்பிவந்தபோது, அவர்கள் அவனை நோக்கி: சுகசெய்தியா? அந்தப் பயித்தியக்காரன் உன்னிடத்தில் வந்தது என்ன என்று கேட்டார்கள். அதற்கு அவன்: அந்த மனுஷனையும், அவன் சொன்ன காரியத்தையும் நீங்கள் அறிவீர்கள் என்றான். Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his communication.

And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel.

13 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் தீவிரமாய் அவரவர் தங்கள் வஸ்திரத்தைப் படிகளின் உயரத்தில் அவன் கீழே விரித்து, எக்காளம் ஊதி: யெகூ ராஜாவானான் என்றார்கள். Then they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with trumpets, saying, Jehu is king.

14 அப்படியே நிம்சியின் மகனாகிய யோசபாத்தின் குமாரன் யெகூ என்பவன் யோராமுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கட்டுப்பாடு பண்ணினான்; யோராமோ இஸ்ரவேலர் எல்லாரோடுங்கூட கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்திலே சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசகேலினிமித்தம் காவல் வைத்து வைத்தான். So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.

15 ஆனாலும் சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசகேலோடே பண்ணின யுத்தத்திலே, சீரியர் தன்னை வெட்டின காயங்களை யெஸ்ரயேலிலே ஆற்றிக்கொள்ளுகிறதற்கு, ராஜாவாகிய யோராம் திரும்பிப் போயிருந்தான். யெகூ என்பவன்: இது; உங்களுக்குச் சம்மதியாயிருந்தால் யெஸ்ரயேலில் இதை அறிவிக்கிறதற்கு ஒருவரும் பட்டணத்திலிருந்து தப்பிப் போகும்படி விடாதிருங்கள் என்றான். But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.

16 அப்பொழுது யெகூ இரதத்தின்மேல் ஏறி, யெஸ்ரயேலுக்கு நேராகப் போனான், யோராம் அங்கே வியாதியாய்க் கிடந்தான்; யோராமைப்பார்க்க, யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அகசியாவும் அங்கே வந்திருந்தான். So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.

17 யெஸ்ரயேலில் கோபுரத்தின்மேல் நிற்கிற ஜாமக்காரன், யெகூவின் கூட்டம் வருகிறதைக் கண்டு: ஒரு கூட்டத்தைக் காண்கிறேன் என்றான். அப்பொழுது யோராம்: நீ ஒரு குதிரைவீரனைக் கூப்பிட்டு, அவர்களுக்கு எதிராக அனுப்பிச் சமாதானமா என்று கேட்கச்சொல் என்றான். And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take an horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?

18 அந்தக் குதிரைவீரன்: அவனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோய், சமாதானமா என்று ராஜா கேட்கச்சொன்னார் என்றான். அதற்கு யெகூ: சமாதானத்தைப் பற்றி உனக்கு என்ன? என் பிறகே திரும்பிவா என்றான். அப்பொழுது ஜாமக்காரன்: அனுப்பப்பட்டவன் அவர்கள் இருக்கும் இடமட்டும் போனபோதிலும் திரும்பிவரவில்லை என்றான். So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he cometh not again.

19 ஆகையால் வேறொரு குதிரைவீரனை அனுப்பினான், அவன் அவர்களிடத்தில் போய்: சமாதானமா என்று ராஜா கேட்கச்சொன்னார் என்றான். அதற்கு யெகூ சமாதானத்தைப்பற்றி உனக்கு என்ன? என் பிறகே திரும்பிவா என்றான். Then he sent out a second on horseback, which came to them, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.

20 அப்பொழுது ஜாமக்காரன்: அவன் அவர்கள் இருக்கும் இடமட்டும் போனபோதிலும் திரும்பிவரவில்லை என்றும், ஓட்டுகிறது நிம்சியின் குமாரனாகிய யெகூ ஓட்டுகிறது; போல இருக்கிறது; அதிவேகமாய் ஓட்டுகிறான் என்றும் சொன்னான். And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

21 அப்பொழுது யோராம்: இரதத்தை ஆயத்தப்படுத்து என்றான்; அவனுடைய இரத்ததை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தினபோது, இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யோராமும், யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அகசியாவும் அவனவன் தன் தன் இரதத்தில் ஏறி யெகூவுக்கு நேராகப் புறப்பட்டு, யெஸ்ரயேலியனாகிய நாபோத்தின் நிலத்திலே அவனுக்கு எதிர்ப்பட்டார்கள். And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

22 யோராம் யெகூவைக் கண்டவுடனே: யெகூவே, சமாதானமா என்றான். அதற்கு யெகூ: உன் தாயாகிய யேசபேலின் வேசித்தனங்களும் அவளுடைய பில்லி சூனியங்களும், இத்தனை ஏராளமாயிருக்கையில் சமாதானம் ஏது என்றான். And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

23 அப்பொழுது யோராம் தன் இரதத்தைத் திருப்பிக்கொண்டு ஓடிப்போய், அகசியாவை நோக்கி: அகசியாவே, இது சதி என்றான். And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, There is treachery, O Ahaziah.

24 யெகூ தன் கையால் வில்லை நாணேற்றி, அம்பு யோராமுடைய நெஞ்சில் உருவிப் புறப்படத்தக்கதாய், அவனை அவன் புயங்களின் நடுவே எய்தான்; அதினால் அவன் தன் இரதத்திலே சுருண்டு விழுந்தான். And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.

25 அப்பொழுது யெகூ, தன் சேனாபதியாகிய பித்காரை நோக்கி: அவனை எடுத்து, யெஸ்ரயேலியனாகிய நாபோத்தின் வயல்நிலத்தில் எறிந்து போடு; நானும் நீயும் ஒரு சோடாய் அவன் தகப்பனாகிய ஆகாபின் பிறகே குதிரை ஏறி வருகிறபோது, கர்த்தர் இந்த ஆக்கினையை அவன்மேல் சுமத்தினார் என்பதை நினைத்துக்கொள். Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him;

26 நேற்று நாபோத்தின் இரத்தத்தையும், அவன் குமாரரின் இரத்தத்தையும் கண்டேன் அல்லவா என்றும், இந்த நிலத்தில்; உனக்கு நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டுவேன் என்றும் அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் சொன்னாரே; இப்போதும் அவனை எடுத்து, கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே இந்த நிலத்தில் எறிந்துபோடு என்றான். Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of ground, according to the word of the LORD.

27 இதை யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அகசியா கண்டு, தோட்டத்தின் வீட்டுவழியாய் ஓடிப்போனான்; யெகூ அவனைப் பின் தொடர்ந்து: அவனையும் இரதத்திலே வெட்டிப்போடுங்கள் என்றான்; அவர்கள் இப்லேயாம் கிட்ட இருக்கிற கூர்மலையின் மேல் ஏறுகிற வழியிலே அப்படிச் செய்தார்கள்; அவன் மெகிதோவுக்கு ஓடிப்போய் அங்கே செத்துப் போனான். But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

28 அவனுடைய ஊழியக்காரர் அவனை இரதத்தின்மேல் எருசலேமுக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அவனைத் தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் அவன் பிதாக்களோடு அவனுடைய கல்லறையிலே அடக்கம்பண்ணினார்கள். And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David.

29 இந்த அகசியா, ஆகாபுடைய குமாரனாகிய யோராமின் பதினோராம் வருஷத்தில் யூதாவின்மேல் ராஜாவானான். And in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah to reign over Judah.

30 யெகூ யெஸ்ரயேலுக்கு வந்தான்; அதை யேசபேல் கேட்டபோது, தன் கண்களுக்கு மையிட்டு, தன் தலையைச் சிங்காரித்துக்கொண்டு, ஜன்னல்வழியாய் எட்டிப்பார்த்து, And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window.

31 யெகூ ஒலிமுகவாசலில் வந்தபோது, அவள்: தன் ஆண்டவனைக் கொன்ற சிம்ரி ேமம் அடைந்தானா என்றாள். And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master?

32 அப்பொழுது அவன் தன் முகத்தை அந்த ஜன்னலுக்கு நேராக ஏறெடுத்து: என் பட்சத்தில் இருக்கிறது யார்? யார்? என்று கேட்டதற்கு, இரண்டு மூன்று பிரதானிகள் அவனை எட்டிப்பார்த்தார்கள். And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.

33 அப்பொழுது அவன்: அவளைக் கீழே தள்ளுங்கள் என்றான்; அப்படியே அவளைக் கீழே தள்ளினதினால், அவளுடைய இரத்தம் சுவரிலும் குதிரைகளிலும் தெறித்தது; அவன் அவளை மிதித்துக் கொண்டு, And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot.

34 உள்ளேபோய், புசித்துக் குடித்தபின்பு: நீங்கள் போய் சபிக்கப்பட்ட அந்த ஸ்திரீயைப் பார்த்து, அவளை அடக்கம்பண்ணுங்கள்; அவள் ஒரு ராஜகுமாரத்தி என்றான். And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king's daughter.

35 அவர்கள் அவளை அடக்கம்பண்ணப் போகிறபோது, அவளுடைய தலையோட்டையும் கால்களையும் உள்ளங்கைகளையுமே அல்லாமல் வேறொன்றையும் காணவில்லை. And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.

36 ஆகையால் அவர்கள் திரும்பவந்து அவனுக்கு அறிவித்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவன்: இது கர்த்தர் திஸ்பியனாகிய எலியா என்னும் தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரனைக் கொண்டு சொன்ன வார்த்தை; யெஸ்ரயேலின் நிலத்திலே நாய்கள் யேசபேலின் மாம்சத்தைத் தின்னும் என்றும், Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:

37 இன்னது யேசபேலென்று சொல்லக் கூடாதபடிக்கு, யேசபேலின் பிரேதம் யெஸ்ரயேலின் நிலத்திலே வயல்வெளியின்மேல் போடும் எருவைப்போல் ஆகும் என்றும் சொன்னாரே என்றான். And the carcass of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

1 Appoluthu theerkkatharisiyaakiya elisaa theerkkatharisikalin puththiraril oruvanai alaiththu: nee itaikkattik konndu, inthath thailakkuppiyai un kaiyil eduththukkonndu, geelaeyaaththilulla raamoththirkup po. And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead:

2 Nee angae sernthapothu, nimsiyin makanaana yosapaaththin kumaaran yekoo engae irukkiraan entu paarththu, angae utpiravaesiththu, avanaith than sakothararin naduvilirunthu elunthirukkappannnni, avanai ullaana oru araiyilae alaiththukkonndupoy, And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber;

3 Thailakkuppiyai eduththu, avan thalaiyinmael vaarththu: unnai isravaelinmael raajaavaaka apishaekampannnninaen entu Karththar sollukiraar entu solli, kathavaith thiranthu thaamathiyaamal otippo entan. Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

4 Appatiyae theerkkatharisiyin ooliyakkaaranaakiya antha vaalipan geelaeyaaththilulla raamoththirkup ponaan. So the young man, even the young man the prophet, went to Ramothgilead.

5 Avan utpiravaesiththapothu, senaapathikal angae utkaarnthirunthaarkal; appoluthu avan: senaapathiyae, umakkuch sollavaenntiya oru vaarththai unndu entan. Atharku yekoo: engalellaarukkullum yaarukku entu kaettatharku, avan, senaapathiyaakiya umakkuththaan entan. And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To thee, O captain.

6 Avan elunthu, araiveettirkul piravaesiththaan; avan anthath thailaththai avan thalaiyinmael vaarththu, avanai Nnokki: isravaelin thaevanaakiya Karththar sollukirathu ennavental, unnaik karththarutaiya janamaakiya isravaelinmael raajaavaaka apishaekampannnninaen. And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.

7 Naan en ooliyakkaararaakiya theerkkatharisikalin iraththappaliyaiyum, karththarutaiya sakala ooliyakkaararin iraththap paliyaiyum, yaesapaelin kaiyilae vaangumpatikku nee un aanndavanaakiya aakaapin kudumpaththai aliththuvidakkadavaay. And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.

8 Aakaapin kudumpamellaam aliyum patikku, naan aakaapukkuch suvaril neer vidum oru naay muthalaay iraathapatikku, isravaelilae avanutaiyavarkalil ataippattavanaiyum vidupattavanaiyum karuvaraுththu, For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel:

9 Aakaapin kudumpaththai naepaaththin kumaaranaakiya yeropeyaamin kudumpaththukkum, akiyaavin kumaaranaakiya paashaavin kudumpaththukku sariyaakkuvaen. And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah:

10 Yaesapaelai yesrayaelin nilaththilae naaykal thintuvidum; avalai adakkampannnukiravan illaiyenkiraar entu solli, kathavaith thiranthu otip ponaan. And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.

11 Yekoo than aanndavanutaiya ooliyakkaararidaththukkuth thirumpivanthapothu, avarkal avanai Nnokki: sukaseythiyaa? Anthap payiththiyakkaaran unnidaththil vanthathu enna entu kaettarkal. Atharku avan: antha manushanaiyum, avan sonna kaariyaththaiyum neengal ariveerkal entan. Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his communication.

12 Atharku avarkal: athu poy, athai engalukkuch sollum entarkal. Appoluthu avan: naan unnai isravaelinmael raajaavaaka apishaekam pannnninaen entu Karththar uraikkiraar entu inna inna pirakaaramaaka ennidaththil sonnaan entan. And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel.

13 Appoluthu avarkal theeviramaay avaravar thangal vasthiraththaip patikalin uyaraththil avan geelae viriththu, ekkaalam oothi: yekoo raajaavaanaan entarkal. Then they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with trumpets, saying, Jehu is king.

14 Appatiyae nimsiyin makanaakiya yosapaaththin kumaaran yekoo enpavan yoraamukku virothamaayk kattuppaadu pannnninaan; yoraamo isravaelar ellaarodungaூda geelaeyaaththilulla raamoththilae seeriyaavin raajaavaakiya aasakaelinimiththam kaaval vaiththu vaiththaan. So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.

15 Aanaalum seeriyaavin raajaavaakiya aasakaelotae pannnnina yuththaththilae, seeriyar thannai vettina kaayangalai yesrayaelilae aattikkollukiratharku, raajaavaakiya yoraam thirumpip poyirunthaan. Yekoo enpavan: ithu; ungalukkuch sammathiyaayirunthaal yesrayaelil ithai arivikkiratharku oruvarum pattanaththilirunthu thappip pokumpati vidaathirungal entan. But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.

16 Appoluthu yekoo irathaththinmael aeri, yesrayaelukku naeraakap ponaan, yoraam angae viyaathiyaayk kidanthaan; yoraamaippaarkka, yoothaavin raajaavaakiya akasiyaavum angae vanthirunthaan. So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.

17 Yesrayaelil kopuraththinmael nirkira jaamakkaaran, yekoovin koottam varukirathaik kanndu: oru koottaththaik kaannkiraேn entan. Appoluthu yoraam: nee oru kuthiraiveeranaik kooppittu, avarkalukku ethiraaka anuppich samaathaanamaa entu kaetkachchaொl entan. And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take an horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?

18 Anthak kuthiraiveeran: avanukku ethirkonndupoy, samaathaanamaa entu raajaa kaetkachchaொnnaar entan. Atharku yekoo: samaathaanaththaip patti unakku enna? En pirakae thirumpivaa entan. Appoluthu jaamakkaaran: anuppappattavan avarkal irukkum idamattum ponapothilum thirumpivaravillai entan. So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he cometh not again.

19 Aakaiyaal vaeroru kuthiraiveeranai anuppinaan, avan avarkalidaththil poy: samaathaanamaa entu raajaa kaetkachchaொnnaar entan. Atharku yekoo samaathaanaththaippatti unakku enna? En pirakae thirumpivaa entan. Then he sent out a second on horseback, which came to them, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.

20 Appoluthu jaamakkaaran: avan avarkal irukkum idamattum ponapothilum thirumpivaravillai entum, ottukirathu nimsiyin kumaaranaakiya yekoo ottukirathu; pola irukkirathu; athivaekamaay ottukiraan entum sonnaan. And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

21 Appoluthu yoraam: irathaththai aayaththappaduththu entan; avanutaiya iraththathai aayaththappaduththinapothu, isravaelin raajaavaakiya yoraamum, yoothaavin raajaavaakiya akasiyaavum avanavan than than irathaththil aeri yekoovukku naeraakap purappattu, yesrayaeliyanaakiya naapoththin nilaththilae avanukku ethirppattarkal. And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

22 Yoraam yekoovaik kanndavudanae: yekoovae, samaathaanamaa entan. Atharku yekoo: un thaayaakiya yaesapaelin vaesiththanangalum avalutaiya pilli sooniyangalum, iththanai aeraalamaayirukkaiyil samaathaanam aethu entan. And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

23 Appoluthu yoraam than irathaththaith thiruppikkonndu otippoy, akasiyaavai Nnokki: akasiyaavae, ithu sathi entan. And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, There is treachery, O Ahaziah.

24 Yekoo than kaiyaal villai naanneetti, ampu yoraamutaiya nenjil uruvip purappadaththakkathaay, avanai avan puyangalin naduvae eythaan; athinaal avan than irathaththilae surunndu vilunthaan. And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.

25 Appoluthu yekoo, than senaapathiyaakiya pithkaarai Nnokki: avanai eduththu, yesrayaeliyanaakiya naapoththin vayalnilaththil erinthu podu; naanum neeyum oru sodaay avan thakappanaakiya aakaapin pirakae kuthirai aeri varukirapothu, Karththar intha aakkinaiyai avanmael sumaththinaar enpathai ninaiththukkol. Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him;

26 Naettaு naapoththin iraththaththaiyum, avan kumaararin iraththaththaiyum kanntaen allavaa entum, intha nilaththil; unakku neethiyaich sarikkattuvaen entum appoluthu Karththar sonnaarae; ippothum avanai eduththu, karththarutaiya vaarththaiyinpatiyae intha nilaththil erinthupodu entan. Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of ground, according to the word of the LORD.

27 Ithai yoothaavin raajaavaakiya akasiyaa kanndu, thottaththin veettuvaliyaay otipponaan; yekoo avanaip pin thodarnthu: avanaiyum irathaththilae vettippodungal entan; avarkal iplaeyaam kitta irukkira koormalaiyin mael aeraுkira valiyilae appatich seythaarkal; avan mekithovukku otippoy angae seththup ponaan. But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

28 Avanutaiya ooliyakkaarar avanai irathaththinmael erusalaemukkuk konndupoy, avanaith thaaveethin nakaraththil avan pithaakkalodu avanutaiya kallaraiyilae adakkampannnninaarkal. And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David.

29 Intha akasiyaa, aakaaputaiya kumaaranaakiya yoraamin pathinoraam varushaththil yoothaavinmael raajaavaanaan. And in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah to reign over Judah.

30 Yekoo yesrayaelukku vanthaan; athai yaesapael kaettapothu, than kannkalukku maiyittu, than thalaiyaich singaariththukkonndu, jannalvaliyaay ettippaarththu, And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window.

31 Yekoo olimukavaasalil vanthapothu, aval: than aanndavanaik konta simri ேmam atainthaanaa ental. And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master?

32 Appoluthu avan than mukaththai antha jannalukku naeraaka aeraெduththu: en patchaththil irukkirathu yaar? Yaar? Entu kaettatharku, iranndu moontu pirathaanikal avanai ettippaarththaarkal. And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.

33 Appoluthu avan: avalaik geelae thallungal entan; appatiyae avalaik geelae thallinathinaal, avalutaiya iraththam suvarilum kuthiraikalilum theriththathu; avan avalai mithiththuk konndu, And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot.

34 Ullaepoy, pusiththuk kutiththapinpu: neengal poy sapikkappatta antha sthireeyaip paarththu, avalai adakkampannnungal; aval oru raajakumaaraththi entan. And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king's daughter.

35 Avarkal avalai adakkampannnap pokirapothu, avalutaiya thalaiyottaைyum kaalkalaiyum ullangaikalaiyumae allaamal vaerontaiyum kaanavillai. And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.

36 Aakaiyaal avarkal thirumpavanthu avanukku ariviththaarkal; appoluthu avan: ithu Karththar thispiyanaakiya eliyaa ennum thammutaiya ooliyakkaaranaik konndu sonna vaarththai; yesrayaelin nilaththilae naaykal yaesapaelin maamsaththaith thinnum entum, Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:

37 Innathu yaesapaelentu sollak koodaathapatikku, yaesapaelin piraetham yesrayaelin nilaththilae vayalveliyinmael podum eruvaippol aakum entum sonnaarae entan. And the carcass of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.
