தேவரீர் இந்த ஜனங்களின் முரட்டாட்டத்தையும், இவர்கள் ஆகாமியத்தையும், இவர்கள் பாவத்தையும் பாராமல், உமது தாசராகிய ஆபிரகாம் ஈசாக்கு யாக்கோபு என்பவர்களை நினைத்தருளும்.

தேவரீர் இந்த மக்களின் முரட்டாட்டத்தையும், ஒழுக்கக்கேடுகளையும், பாவத்தையும் பாராமல், உம்முடையவர்களாகிய ஆபிரகாம், ஈசாக்கு, யாக்கோபு என்பவர்களை நினைத்தருளும்.

அப்படியும் உமது ஜனங்களாகிய இவர்களைத் தண்டிக்க விரும்பினால், அதைக் காணும் எகிப்தியர்கள், ‘கர்த்தர் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த வாக்கின்படி, இந்த ஜனங்களை அந்த தேசத்திற்கு அழைத்துச்சென்று சுதங்திரமாக்க முடியவில்லை. கர்த்தர் இவர்களை வெறுத்தார். எனவே, அவர் இவர்களை பாலைவனத்திற்குக் கொல்வதற்கென்று அழைத்துச் சென்றார்’ என்றும் கூறுவார்கள்.

இல்லையெனில், நீர் எந்த நாட்டினின்று எங்களை விடுவித்து அழைத்து வந்தீரோ, அந்த நாட்டினர் ‘ஆண்டவர் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பதாக ஆணையிட்டுச் சொன்ன நாட்டில் அவர்களைக் கொண்டு போக இயலாததாலும், அவர்களை வெறுத்ததாலும், பாலை நிலத்தில் அவர்களைக் கொல்லுமாறு எகிப்திலிருந்து கூட்டிவந்தார்’ என்று ஏளனம் செய்வர் அன்றோ!
