கண்ணிகளும் வலைகளுமாகிய நெஞ்சமும், கயிறுகளுமாகிய கைகளுடைய ஸ்திரீயானவள், சாவிலும் அதிக கசப்புள்ளவளென்று கண்டேன், தேவனுக்குமுன்பாகச் சற்குணனாயிருக்கிறவன் அவளுக்குத் தப்புவான்; பாவியோ அவளால் பிடிபடுவான்.

சில பெண்கள் கண்ணிகளைப்போன்று ஆபத்தானவர்கள் என்பதை அறிந்துக்கொண்டேன். அவர்களின் இதயம் வலைகளைப் போன்றது, அவர்களது கைகள் சங்கிலிகளைப் போன்றவை. இத்தகைய பெண்களிடம் அகப்பட்டுக்கொள்வது மரணத்தைவிட பயங்கரமானது. தேவனைப் பின்பற்றுகிற ஒருவன் இத்தகைய பெண்களிடம் இருந்து விலகி ஓடுவான். பாவியோ இவர்களிடம் அகப்பட்டுக்கொள்வான்.

சாவைவிடக் கசப்பானதொன்றைக் கண்டேன். அதுதான் பெண். அவள் உனக்குக் காட்டும் அன்பு ஒரு கண்ணியைப் போல அல்லது ஒரு வலையைப் போல உன்னைச் சிக்க வைக்கும்; உன்னைச் சுற்றிப் பிடிக்கும். அவளின் கைகள் சங்கிலியைப்போல உன்னை இறுக்கும். கடவுளுக்கு உகந்தவனே அவளிடமிருந்து தப்புவான். பாவியோ அவளின் கையில் அகப்படுவான்.
