Genesis 26 in Tamil

1 ஆபிரகாமின் நாட்களில் உண்டான பஞ்சத்தை அல்லாமல் பின்னும் ஒரு பஞ்சம் தேசத்தில் உண்டாயிற்று; அப்பொழுது ஈசாக்கு பெலிஸ்தருக்கு ராஜாவாகிய அபிமெலேக்கினிடத்தில் கேராருக்குப் போனான். And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.

2 கர்த்தர் அவனுக்குத் தரிசனமாகி: நீ எகிப்துக்குப் போகாமல், நான் உனக்குச் சொல்லும் தேசத்திலே குடியிரு. And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:

3 இந்தத் தேசத்திலே வாசம்பண்ணு; நான் உன்னோடேகூட இருந்து, உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிப்பேன்; நான் உனக்கும் உன் சந்ததிக்கும் இந்தத் தேசங்கள் யாவையும் தந்து, உன் தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமுக்கு நான் இட்ட ஆணையை நிறைவேற்றுவேன். Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;

4 ஆபிரகாம் என் சொல்லுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, என் விதிகளையும், என் கற்பனைகளையும், என் நியமங்களையும், என் பிரமாணங்களையும் கைக்கொண்டபடியினால், And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

5 நான் உன் சந்ததியை வானத்தின் நட்சத்திரங்களைப்போலப் பெருகப்பண்ணி, உன் சந்ததிக்கு இந்தத் தேசங்கள் யாவையும் தருவேன்; உன் சந்ததிக்குள் பூமியிலுள்ள சகல ஜாதிகளும் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படும் என்றார். Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

6 ஈசாக்கு கேராரிலே குடியிருந்தான். And Isaac dwelt in Gerar:

7 அவ்விடத்து மனிதர்கள் அவன் மனைவியைக்குறித்து விசாரித்தபோது: இவள் என் சகோதரி என்றான். ரெபெக்காள் பார்வைக்கு அழகுள்ளவளானபடியால், அவ்விடத்து மனிதர்கள் அவள் நிமித்தம் தன்னைக் கொல்லுவார்கள் என்று எண்ணி, அவளைத் தன் மனைவி என்று சொல்லப் பயந்தான். And the men of the place asked him of his wife; and he said, She is my sister: for he feared to say, She is my wife; lest, said he, the men of the place should kill me for Rebekah; because she was fair to look upon.

8 அவன் அங்கே நெடுநாள் தங்கியிருக்கையில், பெலிஸ்Ġΰுக்கு ராஜாவாகிய அபிமெலேக்கு ஜன்னல் வழியாய்ப் பார்க்கும்போது, ஈசாக்கு தன் மனைவியாகிய ரெபெக்காளோடே விளையாடிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறதைக் கண்டான். And it came to pass, when he had been there a long time, that Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out at a window, and saw, and, behold, Isaac was sporting with Rebekah his wife.

9 அபிமெலேக்கு ஈசாக்கை அழைத்து: அவள் உன் மனைவியாயிருக்கிறாளே! பின்னை ஏன் அவளை உன் சகோதரி என்று சொன்னாய் என்றான். அதற்கு ஈசாக்கு: அவள் நிமித்தம் நான் சாகாதபடிக்கு, இப்படிச் சொன்னேன் என்றான். And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a surety she is thy wife; and how saidst thou, She is my sister? And Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die for her.

10 அதற்கு அபிமெலேக்கு: எங்களிடத்தில் ஏன் இப்படிச் செய்தாய்? ஜனங்களுக்குள் யாராகிலும் உன் மனைவியோடே சயனிக்கவும், எங்கள்மேல் பழிசுமரவும் நீ இடமுண்டாக்கினாயே என்றான். And Abimelech said, What is this thou hast done unto us? one of the people might lightly have lien with thy wife, and thou shouldest have brought guiltiness upon us.

11 பின்பு அபிமெலேக்கு: இந்தப் புருஷனையாகிலும் இவன் மனைவியையாவது தொடுகிறவன் நிச்சயமாய்க் கொலைசெய்யப்படுவான் என்று எல்லா ஜன்ங்களும் அறியச் சொன்னான். And Abimelech charged all his people, saying, He that toucheth this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.

12 ஈசாக்கு அந்தத் தேசத்தில் விதை விதைத்தான்; கர்த்தர் அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்ததினால் அந்த வருஷத்தில் நூறுமடங்கு பலன் அடைந்தான்; Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.

13 அவன் ஐசுவரியவானாகி, வரவர விருத்தியடைந்து, மகா பெரியவனானான். And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:

14 அவனுக்கு ஆட்டுமந்தையும், மாட்டுமந்தையும், அநேக பணிவிடைக்காரரும் இருந்தபடியினாலே பெலிஸ்தர் அவன் பேரில் பொறாமை கொண்டு, For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

15 அவன் தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமின் நாட்களில் அவனுடைய வேலைக்காரர் வெட்டின துரவுகளையெல்லாம் தூர்த்து மண்ணினால் நிரப்பிப்போட்டார்கள். For all the wells which his father's servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth.

16 அபிமெலேக்கு ஈசாக்கை நோக்கி: நீ எங்களை விட்டுப் போய்விடு; எங்களைப் பார்க்கிலும் மிகவும் பலத்தவனானாய் என்றான். And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we.

17 அப்பொழுது ஈசாக்கு அவ்விடம் விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, கேராரின் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே கூடாரம் போட்டு, அங்கே குடியிருந்து And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there.

18 தன் தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமின் நாட்களில் வெட்டினவைகளும், ஆபிரகாம் மரித்தபின் பெலிஸ்தர் தூர்த்துப்போட்டவைகளுமான துரவுகளை மறுபடியும் தோண்டி, தன் தகப்பன் அவைகளுக்கு இட்டிருந்த பேர்களின்படியே அவைகளுக்குப் பேரிட்டான். And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them.

19 ஈசாக்குடைய வேலைக்காரர் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே வெட்டி, அங்கே சுரக்கும் நீரூற்றைக் கண்டார்கள். And Isaac's servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water.

20 கேராரூர் மேய்ப்பர் இந்தத் தண்ணீர் தங்களுடையது என்று சொல்லி, ஈசாக்குடைய மேய்ப்பருடனே வாக்குவாதம்பண்ணினார்கள்; அவர்கள் தன்னோடே வாக்குவாதம்பண்ணினபடியால், அந்தத் துரவுக்கு ஏசேக்கு என்று பேரிட்டான். And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac's herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him.

21 வேறொரு துரவை வெட்டினார்கள்; அதைக்குறித்தும் வாக்குவாதம்பண்ணினார்கள்; ஆகையால் அதற்கு சித்னா என்று பேரிட்டான். And they digged another well, and strove for that also: and he called the name of it Sitnah.

22 பின்பு அவ்விடம் விட்டுப் பெயர்ந்து போய், வேறொரு துரவை வெட்டினான்; அதைக்குறித்து அவர்கள் வாக்குவாதம்பண்ணவில்லை; அப்பொழுது அவன்: நாம் தேசத்தில் பலுகும்படிக்கு, இப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் நமக்கு இடம் உண்டாக்கினார் என்று சொல்லி, அதற்கு ரெகொபோத் என்று பேரிட்டான். And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.

23 அங்கேயிருந்து பெயெர்செபாவுக்குப் போனான். And he went up from thence to Beersheba.

24 அன்று ராத்திரியிலே கர்த்தர் அவனுக்குத் தரிசனமாகி: நான் உன் தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமுடைய தேவன், பயப்படாதே, நான் உன்னோடேகூட இருந்து, என் ஊழியக்காரனாகிய ஆபிரகாமினிமித்தம் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதித்து, உன் சந்ததியைப் பெருகப்பண்ணுவேன் என்றார். And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake.

25 அங்கே அவன் ஒரு பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டி, கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொண்டு, அங்கே தன் கூடாரத்தைப் போட்டான். அவ்விடத்தில் ஈசாக்கின் வேலைக்காரர் ஒரு துரவை வெட்டினார்கள். And he builded an altar there, and called upon the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac's servants digged a well.

26 அபிமெலேக்கும் அவன் சிநேகிதனாகிய அகுசாத்தும் அவன் சேனாபதியாகிய பிகோலும், கேராரிலிருந்து அவனிடத்துக்கு வந்தார்கள். Then Abimelech went to him from Gerar, and Ahuzzath one of his friends, and Phichol the chief captain of his army.

27 அப்பொழுது ஈசாக்கு அவர்களை நோக்கி: ஏன் என்னிடத்தில் வந்தீர்கள்? நீங்கள் என்னைப் பகைத்து, என்னை உங்களிடத்தில் இராதபடிக்குத் துரத்திவிட்டீர்களே என்றான். And Isaac said unto them, Wherefore come ye to me, seeing ye hate me, and have sent me away from you?

28 அதற்கு அவர்கள்: நிச்சயமாய்க் கர்த்தர் உம்மோடேகூட இருக்கிறார் என்று கண்டோம்: ஆகையால் எங்களுக்கும் உமக்கும் ஒரு ஆணை ஏற்பாடு உண்டாகவேண்டும் என்று நாங்கள் நிர்ணயம் பண்ணினோம். And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;

29 நாங்கள் உம்மைத் தொடாமல், நன்மையையே உமக்குச் செய்து, உம்மைச் சமாதானத்தோடே அனுப்பிவிட்டதுபோல, நீரும் எங்களுக்குத் தீங்கு செய்யாதபடிக்கு உம்மோடே உடன்படிக்கை பண்ணிக்கொள்ள வந்தோம்; நீர் கர்த்தரால் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவராமே என்றார்கள். That thou wilt do us no hurt, as we have not touched thee, and as we have done unto thee nothing but good, and have sent thee away in peace: thou art now the blessed of the LORD.

30 அவன் அவர்களுக்கு விருந்துபண்ணினான், அவர்கள் புசித்துக் குடித்தார்கள். And he made them a feast, and they did eat and drink.

31 அதிகாலையில் எழுந்து ஒருவருக்கொருவர் ஆணையிட்டுக்கொண்டார்கள். பின்பு ஈசாக்கு அவர்களை அனுப்பிவிட்டான்; அவர்கள் அவனிடத்திலிருந்து சமாதானத்தோடே போய்விட்டார்கள். And they rose up betimes in the morning, and sware one to another: and Isaac sent them away, and they departed from him in peace.

32 அந்நாளில்தானே ஈசாக்கின் வேலைக்காரர் வந்து, தாங்கள் துரவு வெட்டின செய்தியை அவனுக்கு அறிவித்து, தண்ணீர் கண்டோம் என்றார்கள். And it came to pass the same day, that Isaac's servants came, and told him concerning the well which they had digged, and said unto him, We have found water.

33 அதற்கு சேபா என்று பேரிட்டான்; ஆகையால் அந்த ஊரின் பேர் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் பெயெர்செபா என்னப்படுகிறது. And he called it Shebah: therefore the name of the city is Beersheba unto this day.

34 ஏசா நாற்பது வயதானபோது ஏத்தியனான பெயேரியினுடைய குமாரத்தியாகிய யூதீத்தையும், ஏத்தியனான ஏலோனுடைய குமாரத்தியாகிய பஸ்மாத்தையும் விவாகம்பண்ணினான். And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite:

35 அவர்கள் ஈசாக்குக்கும் ரெபெக்காளுக்கும் மனநோவாயிருந்தார்கள். Which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah.

1 Aapirakaamin naatkalil unndaana panjaththai allaamal pinnum oru panjam thaesaththil unndaayittaு; appoluthu eesaakku pelistharukku raajaavaakiya apimelaekkinidaththil kaeraarukkup ponaan. And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.

2 Karththar avanukkuth tharisanamaaki: nee ekipthukkup pokaamal, naan unakkuch sollum thaesaththilae kutiyiru. And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:

3 Inthath thaesaththilae vaasampannnu; naan unnotaekooda irunthu, unnai aaseervathippaen; naan unakkum un santhathikkum inthath thaesangal yaavaiyum thanthu, un thakappanaakiya aapirakaamukku naan itta aannaiyai niraivaettaுvaen. Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;

4 Abraham en sollukkuk geelppatinthu, en vithikalaiyum, en karpanaikalaiyum, en niyamangalaiyum, en piramaanangalaiyum kaikkonndapatiyinaal, And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

5 Naan un santhathiyai vaanaththin natchaththirangalaippolap perukappannnni, un santhathikku inthath thaesangal yaavaiyum tharuvaen; un santhathikkul poomiyilulla sakala jaathikalum aaseervathikkappadum entar. Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

6 Eesaakku kaeraarilae kutiyirunthaan. And Isaac dwelt in Gerar:

7 Avvidaththu manitharkal avan manaiviyaikkuriththu visaariththapothu: ival en sakothari entan. Repekkaal paarvaikku alakullavalaanapatiyaal, avvidaththu manitharkal aval nimiththam thannaik kolluvaarkal entu ennnni, avalaith than manaivi entu sollap payanthaan. And the men of the place asked him of his wife; and he said, She is my sister: for he feared to say, She is my wife; lest, said he, the men of the place should kill me for Rebekah; because she was fair to look upon.

8 Avan angae nedunaal thangiyirukkaiyil, pelisĠΰுkku raajaavaakiya apimelaekku jannal valiyaayp paarkkumpothu, eesaakku than manaiviyaakiya repekkaalotae vilaiyaatikkonntirukkirathaik kanndaan. And it came to pass, when he had been there a long time, that Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out at a window, and saw, and, behold, Isaac was sporting with Rebekah his wife.

9 Apimelaekku eesaakkai alaiththu: aval un manaiviyaayirukkiraalae! Pinnai aen avalai un sakothari entu sonnaay entan. Atharku eesaakku: aval nimiththam naan saakaathapatikku, ippatich sonnaen entan. And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a surety she is thy wife; and how saidst thou, She is my sister? And Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die for her.

10 Atharku apimelaekku: engalidaththil aen ippatich seythaay? Janangalukkul yaaraakilum un manaiviyotae sayanikkavum, engalmael palisumaravum nee idamunndaakkinaayae entan. And Abimelech said, What is this thou hast done unto us? one of the people might lightly have lien with thy wife, and thou shouldest have brought guiltiness upon us.

11 Pinpu apimelaekku: inthap purushanaiyaakilum ivan manaiviyaiyaavathu thodukiravan nichchayamaayk kolaiseyyappaduvaan entu ellaa janngalum ariyach sonnaan. And Abimelech charged all his people, saying, He that toucheth this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.

12 Eesaakku anthath thaesaththil vithai vithaiththaan; Karththar avanai aaseervathiththathinaal antha varushaththil nooraுmadangu palan atainthaan; Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.

13 Avan aisuvariyavaanaaki, varavara viruththiyatainthu, makaa periyavanaanaan. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:

14 Avanukku aattumanthaiyum, maattumanthaiyum, anaeka pannivitaikkaararum irunthapatiyinaalae pelisthar avan paeril poraamai konndu, For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

15 Avan thakappanaakiya aapirakaamin naatkalil avanutaiya vaelaikkaarar vettina thuravukalaiyellaam thoorththu mannnninaal nirappippottarkal. For all the wells which his father's servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth.

16 Apimelaekku eesaakkai Nnokki: nee engalai vittup poyvidu; engalaip paarkkilum mikavum palaththavanaanaay entan. And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we.

17 Appoluthu eesaakku avvidam vittup purappattu, kaeraarin pallaththaakkilae koodaaram pottu, angae kutiyirunthu And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there.

18 Than thakappanaakiya aapirakaamin naatkalil vettinavaikalum, Abraham mariththapin pelisthar thoorththuppottavaikalumaana thuravukalai maraுpatiyum thonnti, than thakappan avaikalukku ittiruntha paerkalinpatiyae avaikalukkup paerittan. And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them.

19 Eesaakkutaiya vaelaikkaarar pallaththaakkilae vetti, angae surakkum neeroottaைk kanndaarkal. And Isaac's servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water.

20 Kaeraaroor maeyppar inthath thannnneer thangalutaiyathu entu solli, eesaakkutaiya maeypparudanae vaakkuvaathampannnninaarkal; avarkal thannotae vaakkuvaathampannnninapatiyaal, anthath thuravukku aesekku entu paerittan. And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac's herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him.

21 Vaeroru thuravai vettinaarkal; athaikkuriththum vaakkuvaathampannnninaarkal; aakaiyaal atharku sithnaa entu paerittan. And they digged another well, and strove for that also: and he called the name of it Sitnah.

22 Pinpu avvidam vittup peyarnthu poy, vaeroru thuravai vettinaan; athaikkuriththu avarkal vaakkuvaathampannnavillai; appoluthu avan: naam thaesaththil palukumpatikku, ippoluthu Karththar namakku idam unndaakkinaar entu solli, atharku rekopoth entu paerittan. And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.

23 Angaeyirunthu peyersepaavukkup ponaan. And he went up from thence to Beersheba.

24 Antu raaththiriyilae Karththar avanukkuth tharisanamaaki: naan un thakappanaakiya aapirakaamutaiya Dhevan, payappadaathae, naan unnotaekooda irunthu, en ooliyakkaaranaakiya aapirakaaminimiththam unnai aaseervathiththu, un santhathiyaip perukappannnuvaen entar. And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake.

25 Angae avan oru palipeedaththaik katti, karththarutaiya naamaththaith tholuthukonndu, angae than koodaaraththaip pottan. Avvidaththil eesaakkin vaelaikkaarar oru thuravai vettinaarkal. And he builded an altar there, and called upon the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac's servants digged a well.

26 Apimelaekkum avan sinaekithanaakiya akusaaththum avan senaapathiyaakiya pikolum, kaeraarilirunthu avanidaththukku vanthaarkal. Then Abimelech went to him from Gerar, and Ahuzzath one of his friends, and Phichol the chief captain of his army.

27 Appoluthu eesaakku avarkalai Nnokki: aen ennidaththil vantheerkal? Neengal ennaip pakaiththu, ennai ungalidaththil iraathapatikkuth thuraththivittirkalae entan. And Isaac said unto them, Wherefore come ye to me, seeing ye hate me, and have sent me away from you?

28 Atharku avarkal: nichchayamaayk Karththar ummotaekooda irukkiraar entu kanntoom: aakaiyaal engalukkum umakkum oru aannai aerpaadu unndaakavaenndum entu naangal nirnayam pannnninom. And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;

29 Naangal ummaith thodaamal, nanmaiyaiyae umakkuch seythu, ummaich samaathaanaththotae anuppivittathupola, neerum engalukkuth theengu seyyaathapatikku ummotae udanpatikkai pannnnikkolla vanthom; neer karththaraal aaseervathikkappattavaraamae entarkal. That thou wilt do us no hurt, as we have not touched thee, and as we have done unto thee nothing but good, and have sent thee away in peace: thou art now the blessed of the LORD.

30 Avan avarkalukku virunthupannnninaan, avarkal pusiththuk kutiththaarkal. And he made them a feast, and they did eat and drink.

31 Athikaalaiyil elunthu oruvarukkoruvar aannaiyittukkonndaarkal. Pinpu eesaakku avarkalai anuppivittan; avarkal avanidaththilirunthu samaathaanaththotae poyvittarkal. And they rose up betimes in the morning, and sware one to another: and Isaac sent them away, and they departed from him in peace.

32 Annaalilthaanae eesaakkin vaelaikkaarar vanthu, thaangal thuravu vettina seythiyai avanukku ariviththu, thannnneer kanntoom entarkal. And it came to pass the same day, that Isaac's servants came, and told him concerning the well which they had digged, and said unto him, We have found water.

33 Atharku sepaa entu paerittan; aakaiyaal antha oorin paer innaalvaraikkum peyersepaa ennappadukirathu. And he called it Shebah: therefore the name of the city is Beersheba unto this day.

34 Aesaa naarpathu vayathaanapothu aeththiyanaana peyaeriyinutaiya kumaaraththiyaakiya yootheeththaiyum, aeththiyanaana aelonutaiya kumaaraththiyaakiya pasmaaththaiyum vivaakampannnninaan. 35 Avarkal eesaakkukkum repekkaalukkum manaNnovaayirunthaarkal. Which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah.
